Popped open a bottle of 1792 last night. God that stuff is gross...I tried to give it to my brother (another bourbon lover) and he tried it and refused to take it home with him.

Yeah if its not for me Ill use the other one as trade fodder for a bottle I want on a Facebook whiskey trader page.
It isn’t bad at all, not by a long shot...just don’t think it’s worthy of near unicorn status, that’s all.

Thats what sucks the minute a Bourbon gets rated high or gets award for best of year it becomes a unicorn. Like KC 12 this year now hard to find because everyone says its best of 2020.

Picked up a couple bottles of Elijah Craig Rye on my way home from work.
At sub $30 a bottle, figured I'd give it a try. I have the neck pour airing out in a glass now, smells very spicy.
    Cheers.

Not sure what I paid, but Weller Full Proof is in my glass tonight. I know it was reasonably priced, but doubt it was under $50.

    Absolutely superb.

    Seriously worth finding.

I think it has a new MSRP of like $40 to $50 in the last year the rest of the Weller line I think stayed the same. I gave $75 for one a month ago on a Facebook Local bourbon page. Really good stuff and id pay that price again if I see it to stash a bottle or 2.

That offer was for less than asking, and it’s too early to take less than asking. So if you’re still interested it’s available. Thanks.

Man I really like 1792 Full proof. Did not think 1792 Small batch was that bad. Was it a store pick or anything special?

I bought several different bottles that day and would have guessed the Weller was in the $50-60 range
