BBC can be a better source of news than any of the US media at times. They are, of course, biased. But we know that going in.
Yeah. They usually devote more time or ink to a story also. That's the reason I like NPR. Many days I end up swearing at NPR because I disagree with their reporting especially the word choice or more likely flipping back and forth between NPR and WIBC during commercials, but at least the BBC gives 15-30 minutes to a story instead of a 30 second bkurb.

Some of their podcasts are pretty good too.

BBC Hardtalk is worth checking out.

I doubled my 401k since last years crash getting ideas from BBC World Service Science and Technology shows...so it pays to listen

I used to listen to Hardtalk. Got tired of it after a while. Staged attempts at "gotchas" but I guess that is more of a UK style of journalism. "Surely you must admit that if you don't (decry something) you support eating babies."

Yeah but at least some of the questions are tougher. Most tougher than US interviewing which usually is 2 feeble questions followed by 2 "questions " about "your new" insert movie/book/podcast.

Millions of people in Texas are without power because of a winter storm and the power grid got overloaded. Many of them are keeping warm in their vehicles.

Wait until they all are forced to get electric cars to seriously overload the grid even without a storm and then try to power that grid with windmills, which are all frozen up now by the way.

I would assume that electric cars with electric heaters are far, far more efficient than idling a V* and capturing wasted heat.

Side note: a nutcase was on NPR's ME today saying that cities should ban natural gas connections in new construction. :n00b:

But when the power is out you can't plug it in and you freeze to death. But you were efficient right up to that last breath. :)

Or, this administration is willing to do the right thing from the get go
No. Joe Xiden himself said disrespect for others would not be tolerated and if it happened people would be fired. So, it happened and ... drumroll, please ... people were suspended for a week

It wasn't until the hypocrisy had gotten really thick, and many were calling them on it, that they threw the dude(?) under the bus

One incident tells us something - twice - about their principles

Electric heaters aren't very efficient either
I was going to mention that, but Jetta already thinks I pick on him, so I passed. Even the waste heat from an idling V* might be on a par with resistance heating for efficiency, and that 85Kwh Tesla only holds the equivalent of about 2.25 gallons of gas. Wonder how long you could run just the heater for compared to a real vehicle started every 15 minutes or so to generate heat

Edit: When people's families and children are cold, how much do you want to bet they don't give a dry **** how much CO2 they put into the air
