Finally, OODA analysis. Here is the first frame of obvious action initiation, going to cover garment to initiate the draw...

What happened 0.5-0.6 seconds (7 frames on a Nikon D5) prior to precipitate this decision/action?

This frame shows the shot already fired, the shell casing in the air and the bear spray plume. It's time stamp is 3:36:54 PM. There are 5 additional frames (0.4 seconds) AFTER this picture with the same timestamp.

This means 1.6 seconds (1.5 - 1.7 seconds) from face still sideways from the slap, the first pic of the prior post, to shot already fired.

He killed a man for slapping him.

Nope. He killed a thug for slapping him, then further attacking him with a chemical. It doesn`t appear he initiated the physical aggression, he was defending himself. Did he over respond? A jury can decide that.

He willingly stepped into the middle of a verbal conflict and put hands on the man and got b**** slapped for it. He immediately and instantly escalated to deadly force while the man was retreating, and the photo sequence clearly shows he was not responding to any raising of the bear spray when he went for his gun.

    .
A jury will sort out the particulars of the killing.

I wondered what became of the decision makers who decided to start this tragedy for some news film. They need to be out of a job before they kill someone else over a manufactured news story. NBCs Chevy truck manufactured story in the 1992 didn't kill anybody and plenty of people were cashiered for it.

The photo sequence, such as it is, doesn't show jack ****.
Frames 2632-2641 show the slap and Dolloff going to gun while Keltner retreats two steps with the bear spray still down at his side.

No idea who Jack is? :dunno:

Further: he doesn't get to claim self-defense as a justification for use of deadly force because he was the initial aggressor. When someone legally uses force in self-defense against an unlawful aggressor, the aggressor does not then get to claim self-defense for otherwise unjustified use of deadly force in response to the other person's lawful use of force in self-defense.
