Did anyone see the report on Fox this morning where a gun store owner in CT writes a letter to Obama thanking him for the great gun business! What a dumbass!!!! That's like waving a red flag in front of a bull. Gee, let's taunt him into clamping down on guns.

The Democrats, I mean Socialists all know why there are so many guns being sold, as well as all the ammo. Its why they are shoving all of their wish lists through so fast. It's a lot harder to get rid of a law than to just stop its passage. and it's only three months into this.

I want the nation to know we're all buying guns. They may getting around to actually asking WHY?

The problem is that Dick and Jane Everyman, who live in a mid sized city like Indianapolis and would never think of owning a gun will see these kinds of reports and agree that "something needs to be done". When The Man happens to be extremely anti-2A, controls the White House, the Senate and the House, you should be smart enough not to poke him in the eye with a stick.

A "free people" should never cower in fear of what their government may do to them, because when they do, they are no longer free.
That's a great platitude, but tactically, that's like walking down Meridian Street with an open carry. It makes your point but you'll probably have an outcome you won't like.

Politics, like gunfighting, requires superior tactics. Sometimes, it is to your advantage to lay low and wait for your tactical situation improve. We are seeing the political situation improve by the week as BHO reveals to the American public what he wants to do. They don't like it. His approval ratings are dropping. His negatives are up. The opposition in Congress is rediscovering its backbone. If BHO is as politically savvy as the media paints him to be, he will soon realize that he has a fight on his hands. That means he will become willing to stay away from red hot issues like 2A (that really aren't all that important to him) to try to gain support for his broader agenda.

I am still completely blow away at the fact he is worried about gun laws, as opposed to fixing the economy.

If you think Obama will read the letter, or even notice the news report, you think to highly of our influence as individuals vs. Presidential level politics (sadly).

At the same time, the BATF and IRS might take a notice of it though...

The last I was aware it's perfectly legal for a law abiding citizen of the Great State of Indiana to go about their business armed with a handgun, even "openly armed", so long as they have a LTCH.

The law is the law, regardless of how many leftist liberals wet in their panties at the mere thought of private gun ownership, let alone the sight of one being worn by a civilian.

That said, I do honestly believe there would be "hell to pay" if a law-abiding (armed) citizen was harrassed, detained or arrested by a misguided law enforcement officer for doing nothing except for upsetting an Obama voter.

I do hope everyone else on this forum feels the exact same way.

I don't know about hell having to pay, but I bet the police dept. would have to.

I think every gun owner in the country should write their politicians including the great Messiah in the white house & let them know that we are excercising our God given right of self protection....and that we thank them for reminding us that it's not to be taken for granted.
