That burns my britches. SWMBO rolls her eyes, but I never let it pass without a "Hot water doesn't need heating."
That and ATM machine. "So you going to an automatic teller machine machine?"

Not always true on the hot water doesn't need heating. I knew a daycare that to install a instant water heater for their dishwasher. The main one was on the other side of the building in an unheated basement. By the time the water got to the kitchen it was still hot enough for most uses but not for the dishwasher to sanitize.

I agree with you on the ATM though.
