Only 19 Senators voted to defund Obamacare not one was from Indiana.

    Dan Coats Republican
    Joe Donnelly Democrat

We need to stand together and vote for Senators and house members who will stand for what is right for the American People. They work for us and should remember that they dont answer to any party but to the people who elected them. I am not telling you this as a Democrat or a Republican I am speaking out as a Citizen who lost a job he loved very much because they could not keep me because of Obamacare. I can not afford to buy insurance with Obamacare or even the penalty. I think that the things they have in Obamacare will hurt and cripple families trying to stay a float not just mine. Please remember our voices are loud if we all stand together as Americans. Please tell your Family and Friends about this post it to your facebook. Let them know we will stand together and we also SUPPORT the CONSTITUTION and our 2nd Amendment Rights. REMEMBER TO GO VOTE! God bless you all if you agree with me or not I want the best for all of you and your FAMILIES!

I'ts already happened to Me and my wife, but it's costing us around $7000 a year,

The rule that says if both people work and both works provide insurance then each person has to take their companies insurance. My wife had some decent insurance and when I had to leave the insurance I had to move to my companies insurance which is terrible, As in basically no insurance just an opportunity to put money in an account.

Last Jan when my wifes work complied with the law my prescripsion went from $120 to $1100

That is awful this should not happen to anyone. It really will break families in many ways. Like gunman41mag said if people have to pay that much they will refrain from getting married. We are in America we can choose what health care we want or even if we want it at all. We need to take to the poll and vote for someone who will stand up for America and its citizens. We need to also share this information with our Families, Friends, Co-workers. Because if we only have the same senators running then we will get stuck with the same kind of horrible leadership. Please Comment and Share with EVERYONE even social media such as Facebook so people outside of Indiana know what kind of horriable law is coming their way so we can elect leadership who will support American Citizens and take the Senate back for the people!

You've been misled. No rule in the new law says that you or your wife have to take any of your companies' insurance schemes. The law opened up new options in the market that you or your wife can take, INSTEAD of company-offered insurance. If the market options are better than your company's insurance, you can go for it.

My wife had some decent insurance and when I had to leave the insurance I had to move to my companies insurance which is terrible, As in basically no insurance just an opportunity to put money in an account.

You could have chosen to stay with your wife's insurance unless her company said otherwise. The new healthcare law DOES NOT force you to take your company's insurance. That's just not true.

Last Jan when my wifes work complied with the law my prescripsion went from $120 to $1100

Your wife's company or yours made that rule, not the healthcare law.

But why did his wifes company make that new rule? ACA perhaps?

I am sure bogan read all 2700+ pages of the bill or all 10,000+ pages of the regulation(and growing daily) to be able to tell you "you are being misled" or he just went to the ofa talking points page that tells you all the wonderful things that are coming your way under the aca. There is just something about this that stinks. I bet bogan is streaks other account from his mothers basement using her ip. What are the odds of this in vegas

    Absolutely.

Employers dropping coverage for thousands of spouses over ObamaCare costs | Fox News
Both the University of Virginia and UPS told their employees recently they are no longer offering spousal coverage to those able to obtain insurance elsewhere; meaning thousands of Americans will no longer be able to choose the benefits they prefer.

Translation: if your spouse has insurance through another company, your company will not cover him/her. And this is a direct result of the increased costs of ACA.

It's not a regulation mandated by ACA, but it sure as heck is a consequence of it. Which means that ACA is responsible for the loss of insurance coverage/options for more people....again.

I know, right? It has to be something like that, 'cause it's just not possible that somebody wrote some articles with some false information mostly because they hate the president more than Beelzebub.

But why did his wifes company make that new rule? ACA perhaps?

Companies were doing this before Obamacare. They are doing this because too many companies are getting closer and closer to spending more on healthcare than their purpose in the business world. One I heard said that if the spouse's healthcare was <50% cost to the spouse, the spouse couldn't be on the plan. Basically if the wife's insurance/company said it cost $10K to insure her, and her cost would be $5,001, she could stay on husbands plan, but if it was cheaper, husband's company wouldn't offer coverage.

I have no idea if ACA will be good or bad, but the current system would likely do just as much damage, and I don't think there really is anyway to save healthcare without drastic changes in wages, instituting death rules (ie: You have stage four lung cancer at age x or older, no government paid for care), etc..

Once the exchanges are up and running, watch for more companies to stop offering healthcare. I bet state and local tax-exempt government entities will be first, as I wonder if they would have to pay any "fee" or "tax" for not offering coverage? I know private business gets hit, but it will likely be cheaper than the healthcare.

Hell, the City of Indianapolis went to that rule years ago...no spouses on your insurance if your spouse's employer offers their own. Thankfully I'm on my wife's insurance and not that crappy insurance through the City.

Companies have been doing this BEFORE the ACA was ever drawn up. It's about MONEY, we asked and were told that doing this saved the city money...bottom line.

ACA is saving my wife and me $200/month. Our Insurance Co. even sent us a form to sign to avoid ACA but hidden in page 3 they notified us of the premium increase. I googled ACA and found a site that listed Ins. co's that have ACA policies available. My current ins. co. was one of those companies and my current policy is on the list of available policies. The price quote was on the same policy from the same ins. co. and is $100/month cheaper for me and the same for my wife. My info didn't come from the Democrats or the Republicans, it came from My insurance Co.

Research how much hospital stays and child births cost back in the 40's and 50's and we paid for stuff out-of-pocket. That was BEFORE we started to be conditioned that it was the responsibility of a 3rd party (someone else) to pay for our healthcare costs. Then, when the government got invol;ved in the 60's (The Great Society), it was the beginning of the end. Imagine what your car insurance would be if it covered fill-ups or how much your homeowners insurance would cost if it covered lawn care ...
