I was kind of pissed a few weeks ago when clay and buck decided to give up the rights to the song and change it.

It’s all down hill from here. I know they just felt they needed to ‘make it their own’, but they’ll never hold a candle to the man.

I miss the days he’d play ‘green onions’ by booker T and the MG’s and Sputnik! I’m 40 years old and he introduced me to some pretty cool old tunes.

He was a ****ing legend. If history is still told by freedom loving Americans someday far in the future, he’ll be remembered as such.

I listened to him for 15 years since my early 20’s…he and Glenn beck molded me into a man and were the main reasons I joined the marine corps. I miss him every day. Rest In Peace sir…god bless.
Rush was a HUGE charitable supporter for many causes. Among them were Marine Corp fundraising charities. I’m sure you know that already though.

He was a very giving/caring person with not only personal donations but he also used his radio show, website and his celebrity status to promote different causes which in turn generated a lot of money donated by his vast listening audience and others. He was legendary for his charitable efforts as well as his radio personality.

    In the country, hopefully.
One of the things he figured out was that people would always have preconceived notions about him; so many people’s minds were changed when they just gave him a fair listen, instead of having him interpreted through another talking head.

Once the light bulb came on, it couldn’t be turned off, even though you may disagree with him. It just wasn’t what his enemies were describing him to be. And then they lost face. But with him gone, that seems to have lost traction.

Give the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton show a shot. They aren't Rush, but they've been doing a nice job picking up the torch over the past year.

It airs from Noon - 3:00 on 1260 am in Indy.
I tried them out when they first got started. It's just too superficial, I think. That back and forth angle they're doing wears me out. Maybe they're gotten better in recent months but I'm not a fan of that style of broadcasting.

Steven Crowder's show is probably my favorite right now. They make me laugh, kind of like Rush did when he was in his heyday.

    I trusted Rush.

A whole lot of what these people are trying so hard to do involves increasing listenership through the fear porn, scare tactics, and keeping us divided in our own silos of echo chambers.

Rush was a gift, set the bar high, and now that he’s gone trying to replace him seems like it it too much like pining for the good old days.

I’ve almost turned into a maggot infested FM type.
    Much truth here.

Radio is dead to me. I stream what I want to listen to. I have my own music playlists, don’t need a programmer and DJ to pick music for me. I listen to podcast’s of what I want, these others will never have the audience or money of El Rushbo…

There is a guy name Leland Conway, he is currently on 630 KHOW in Denver, he's on from 2-4 (local time, I'm in southern Indiana) I started listening to him when I lived in Virginia, for a while, then he was on the 9-12 slot on WHAS 840, Louisville. He's one of the best I've heard since Rush... He's a Libertarian, and common sense...give him a listen. I honestly think if given a national platform, he could partially fill Ruh's shoes
