Before there will be any utility in a direct answer to your question--any question of yours for that matter--we need to find a way to deal with your apparent inability to distinguish between what is permissible within the law or at least not too impermissible to get away with and what is morally and ethically right. The latter distinction seems not to be an issue in your worldview.

I don't know where you get that. He (and I) laid out how the orders to the governor can be challenged. Stating that the governor has the apparent authority to do what he is done says nothing about opinions on morals or ethics.

If a person thinks what he has done is illegal, sue him. If they think it's legal, but bad judgment, push the legislature to change the law.

The answer is simple, though not easy.

"That woman" is Dr. Kristina M. Box. I have heard her referenced as "that woman" in my office as well as in gun shops.
And then you take it out on INGO?

I don’t think she has many fans on INGO, but I’ve never heard anything like what you described.

Honestly I think think it would NOT be a good idea to try and have legislation passed to enable a recall election. It could very well backfire on a us when a Republican Governor wins the election by a slim margin, and then all h. e. double hockey sticks breaks out because Dems throwing a hissy fit.

I think people fail to remember Governor Scott Walker of Wisconsin, a Republican had to face a recall because liberals up there disliked him.

I’m not sure that you didn’t insert an extra negative.

    Good God, man!

Insertion of non needed negatives to drive up the word count should result in an immediate ban of not more than 24 hours and not less than 24 hours of which the equivalent is 1 day. No more, no less.

Morally and ethically right? Remember when Sharia Law was the big issue? Kirk and Pepperidge Farms remember. I thought INGO was AGAINST Sharia Law? I just can't keep up, it changes every day.

Governor Holcomb has the authority to do what he did. The General Assembly, yes those people on the fainting couches who are now decrying Holcomb acting as the fainting ladies permitted, should re-examine the issue. You know, like hold hearings, have people testify and send in letters saying how the pandemic has impacted them. Oh, AND the fainting ladies should present alternatives.

But many on INGO have literally, or figuratively, said "let's do Sweden". (in serious COVID policy way not the fun way)
We were talking about what I said not what INGO has said. I am not INGO. And you should be thankful for that. Word count per post would be much higher.

Sharia law? Why should I take you seriously? You’re trying too hard to be pithy. Clapbacks are for the young and foolish.

Yes, and North Dakota, which cribbed Sweden's homework has killed 1 out of every 800 with Covid-19.

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9014681/One-800-North-Dakota-residents-dead-COVID.html

Holcomb listened to medical experts, "that woman", and tried to walk a middle path.

One out of 800 sounds scary but looking at it another way their CFR is actually better than MI and much better than NY (about the same as IN) which has enacted some of the most extensive mandates/lockdowns, their crude mortality is a little higher than MI's but not that much. If you're a resident of ND and think the state is taking it too easy on covid you're still free to lock yourself down, wear a mask, socially distance, whatever you want to do. In the end it looks like whether you have massive lock downs or an open state the severity of the disease is pretty consistent.

I believe you missed my primary point. He has been resting on the morally/ethically bankrupt position that there is no reasonable complaint by virtue of Holcomb's actions being legally permissible. In my reckoning this is fully equal with arguing that because cheating on your wife is legally permissible there is nothing wrong with it.

Kirk, have you been hitting something stouter than bourbon? I fail to see any connection between Sharia law and expecting that crooked son of a ***** to to what is right or refrain from what isn't because it is the right course without requiring the legislature to force him to do what's right.

You are leading me to the conclusion that there is no right and wrong in your world, just legally permissible and legally impermissible.

1 in 800 isn't all that scary when you realize New York was 1 in 558.

Admittedly though, it's still higher than the national average (~1:1200) and much higher than some other states of similar population. Usually it would be unfair to compare disease spread in a densely populated area to a mostly rural area. They shouldn't be in the same order of magnitude. Still, it's pretty rude and hyperbolic for Kirk to frame it as their government killing people. He's using active language to describe a passive thing.
