Democrats will say anything to support their position and believe it must be accepted because it supports their aims.

And then the weak willed supposedly on the side of conservatism will ignore all of that, focus exclusively on some Trump crudities, and fail to support him (or abandon whatever pastel support they wanted people to think they were giving) and self-congratulate that they are 'better than that'

The old saw is we get the government we deserve. If anyone thinks that's Bernie or Warren (or Clinton, for God's sake) or Weld, I'm not sure what can be done to bring them out of their stupor. The stench of the accumulated actions by the left and Democrats you would think would be stronger than any possible smelling salts. Like '16, we're going to have to get it done without the dilettante set. Over the top, deplorables

It is not anti or pro gun it covers the development of individual select fire rifles.

It documents the terrible experience our men had with the M16 in the first years of it's deployment in Vietnam.

Excellent book. Pretty much describes my experience with the Plastic Fantastic.

When leftists engage in civil disobedience, the purpose of the police is to protect the protesters.
If they do otherwise, they are accused of police brutality, racism, and civil rights violations.

They'll get out of the way.

In the mid 80's I used to work in an area of town where groups of thugs would see a car coming and walk out into the street to stop them.
NO WAY I stopped for them so I could be robbed, carjacked, etc.

I just drove at the steady speed I was driving and they moved out of the way.

Exactly, because normally were these things happen, are in liberal/leftist controlled areas, so the officer on the street does NOT have the support of his civilian leadership.
