It all depends on the post office. Legally, yes you can, but some post offices (like mine :xmad:) refused to send a gun I sold even though I reminded them of their own policies.

A receiver should be easy, just slip it in a Flat Rate box and send it on its way.

It is illegal for them to advise you on the mailability of a firearm. Force them to produce the DMM and it will say that.

Good To Go Tactical is now out of business FYI.

That's good to know. I'm going to have to send another mod a message. I sent one about a month ago to add to the original thread and they still have yet to do that. I can't because after so long you lose the ability to edit your threads.

So Mods, please Delete Good To Go Tactical

Had an SBR lower done there last night. Price was a flat set up fee of $25, and the work took about 10 minutes at most. It looks very sharp, and he showed me how it would look before he did the job.

I will happily go back there again. Call ahead if you have a Title 1 part that can't be left and he'll even have a machine open waiting for you since you can drop it off.

Would be good to know the process each company offers. I sell Dot Peen markers, so I guess it could be Dot Peen (pneumatic or electric, doesn't matter), Laser Marking (C02/Yag etc, doesn't matter) and other types i.e. engraving (?)

This may be a stupid question but does the lower need to be stripped for them to do it. It is not a problem if so but no point in doing it if not. I was planning on going to Champion in Muncie that does it while you wait.

Not a problem, whenever someone gets one done at the location, post it up and I will have it added.

Great service at Champion Awards & Trophies in Muncie $25 and did it while I waited
Awesome! Let's see some pics of the work!

I would give them a call. I'm sure each place may have their own policy on this. I like to have mine stripped as there is less to go wrong, but if you already have it assembled I could see how it would be a pain to take it all apart.

I've sent both of my lowers to Orion in Minnesota, and they do need the lower to be stripped.

Edit: And they only do engraving, no laser, no stamping.

Does anyone engrave on something other than flat surfaces? I want my bolt engraved.

I would check with Purple72, he does some really custom work. Not exactly sure though.

FYI to all hotrodtba has been removed from the list at his request as he is no longer engraving. If a mod could please edit the original thread, I would appreciate it.

    Thanks
