It was like Dewit was reading lines and playing the part of a shady character just by the tone and inflection of his voice and Lake was giving a campaign speech. The whole conversation sounded almost like it was contrived. Kinda like a soap opera feel to it.



I'm probably off the mark here but something just seemed kind of odd when I listened to it.

As long as its within the political party, they can do whatever they want, except illegal threats. The party is not legally bound on how to choose their candidate. Hillary taught Bernie all about this during her run.

She catered to Trump addicted people in the general and made the race about national identities and Trump when the issue deck was in her hand for the economy, border, and crime. All she had to do was not talk about anything but lockdowns, inflation, crime and the border and she wins. Instead, she parades Steve Bannon and sings about Trump.

I’m not sure you understand what far right is. Paradigms have changed. Far right is Ronald Reagan. We’re talking about a populist here. This is elitists vs anti-establishment. Not the good guys vs the far right.

But, I suspect she can’t win now. Not because she’s too intense and a little out there with her rhetoric. But because of the biased news coverage of her.

She got ****ed in her election bid. She lost by only ~17K votes, less than 1%. Claiming that she’s fringe is a little out there. But if this tape is fake, then I’d say she’s no less as corrupt as Hobbs.

I have to admit that it does sound a bit scripted to me ......Also , One of the best quality sound "hidden microphone " tapes I have heard .

There are moderates for Trump, and independents for Trump. Like me, I'm sure many feel like they have to hold their noses. But, it's true that Lake could have appealed to a broader group if she'd been less Trumpian. But that's not an issue of far right vs everyone else. All she needed was a little over 17,000 more votes. She probably could have gotten that though but for the election anomalies in Maricopa County, whether that was by hook or by crook.

One more reason Republicans who are all in on Election Day turnout are stupid.

Election day turnout worked until it didn’t. Why? There's no reason elections can't be held on Election Day like they have been since the beginning. Election officials' incompetence has apparently been weaponized.

Hobbs was and is a terrible candidate, and the governor refused to debate, which I am now told is okay. She had nothing to run on and squeaked out a win, which speaks to the problems Kari Lake had. The idea that she won is no less laughable than Stacy Abrams's claim that she won.

The world where Mitt Romney is on the far right is an interesting and questionable place.
