    I look at their enemies.

    You don't like Trump either?
I voted for him twice because the alternatives sucked. Dude ****ed a porn star while his wife was pregnant. He’s not a man of high character. I can’t say I hate him. But personally, I don’t like him.

She was selling what she knows you like to hear in exchange for fame and importance. She speaks fluent conservative evangelical. Trump didn’t speak the language that well. I didn’t buy anything. You did. You know them by their fruits.

    I look at their enemies.

Is any conservative really what their MSM caricature is?

I thought about this thread over the weekend.

I came across a rodent eating in the corn bin.

I said to the rodent, "If I let you eat of this grain, **** in this grain, and spread infections throughout this bin, what do I get in return?

No reply with anything better than what I already have.

Then I dispatched the vermin with a well delivered round to its head.

Vermin took what was not his, and paid the price for doing so.

    That was a good compromise.

The rodent didn't demand anything. Didn't ask for a compromise. He's oblivious to property. He behaves like he's just trying to survive. And that's all he has. And how do you know he didn't offer you anything in return. Do you speak fluent rodent? Maybe he could have said, "dude, I hear you want to be a mod on INGO. I know a guy who knows the Mouse there. I can get you in if you let me have just a little of your grain."

Not that you shouldn't have shot him. I think he's lying about knowing someone who knows the Mouse. It's just that I don't think it really fits the thread. Good story though. Good ending.

Does the United States of America really exist anymore? Certainly not as it was originally intended.
That's a valid point. We're not united, like AT ALL and the states have basically become arbitrary borders but they almost cannot function without federal intervention. I think I said in another thread that if a state actually wanted to secede from the union the first step is stop accepting federal subsidies but I haven't seen a single state step up to that bar yet. Although MSM is predicting Texas may make an attempt soon but that's always a lingering notion. If they do though it'll start the Second Civil War.

So you would not accept a bill that abolishes a relatively onerous infringements on our rights while imposing a relatively insignificant one?
Gun owners should never compromise. That is why the constitution says the right of the people to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. this is not a request. It is a directive.

When people use phrases like you could never go out and buy a cannon they are horribly wrong. More in my next post.

Old colonial homes used to have cannons out front of their homes. In fact if you do your homework in the war 1812 the government didn't have enough cannons to go against the British so they had to get them from average citizens.

    Not a civil war.

The seceeding states were not attempting to take control of the central state. They were walking away.

That was a war to prevent southern independence. That was a war of northern aggression. Nothing more; nothing less.
Yeah, because nothing says walking away peacefully like attacking federally owned forts.

If you want to argue that the Confederate States should've had the right to secede, I'm perfectly willing to listen to that argument, but if you're acting like they were all just trying to walk away peacefully when the Union States shot them in the back, well, that's about as accurate as the left's narrative about George Floyd.

 Now you’ve done it. He’s gonna start quoting pro-confederate historians. Just let it go.
