He could be out of a job for awhile then. Oregon is becoming a 2A hostile state because of Portland imposing their nonsense on everyone else much like Chicago on Illinois.

Would-be robber shot by man with concealed carry permit - Story | WFLD
Shortly after 2 a.m., a 27-year-old man was pulling his vehicle into a back yard lot in the 9100 block of South Blackstone when another male approached and pointed a weapon, according to Chicago Police.
The 27-year-old, who has a concealed carry permit, opened fire, striking the would-be robber in the chest, police said. The suspect was taken in critical condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
The reason it comes up now is that the robber who was shot just died from his gunshot wound. Note that the fact that man is robber who threatened the license holder with a gun is...somewhat obscured...in the title:
Man paralyzed by concealed carry holder in 2017 dies from injuries, police say
A south suburban quadriplegic who died at a suburban hospital over the weekend succumbed to injuries he suffered in 2017, when he was shot and paralyzed by a concealed carry permit holder in the city’s Calumet Heights neighborhood on the South Side, authorities said.
It's not until the second half of the story that you found out the "victim" of the concealed carry license holder was the would-be robber from 12 Dec 2017.

Wow, he got the upper hand even though the bad guy drew first. Good for him. Wonder if he had any training beyond what it takes to get the CCL.

New York sounds almost like the UK... trying to go after a man for defending himself because the gun wasn't registered to him

Good luck finding 12 jurors that would vote guilty.

Not to take anything away at all from the defender, but I'll bet one factor was that the robber was used to waving his gun at people and getting them to fork over their money, keys, whatever. He probably wasn't expecting someone to effectively fight back. SURPRISE SURPRISE SURPRISE!

I am glad that the defender had the presence of mind to fire a warning shot...

    right between the thugs eyes!

And let that be a warning to you.

    Not cool at all.

Maybe he can fight it, and get firearm ownership permits and registration ruled unconstitutional - since they clearly are.

Yet another 67yo refuses to be a victim. I believe this is a different from the other 67yo I posted about a few minutes ago. Don't mess with 67-year-olds. They will shoot your kiester.

CWB Chicago: Prosecutors: Two charged with robbing Avondale florist; Victim shot one offender 4 times
A woman went to collect her final pay from a 67yo florist shop owner. She was accompanied by two chuckleheads. I know they were chuckleheads because they started beating the florist, said “We’re gonna take all of it” and pulled $869 from the florist's pants. The florist then escaped from the chuckleheads, got a gun from a vehicle, and shot one of the chuckleheads four times while the woman and chucklehead #2 fled, #2 later turning himself in. Chucklehead #1 collapsed nearby and was taken to the hospital. The florist was treated for bruises and swelling. The chuckleheads are charged with aggravated robbery and are held without bail.
"Chicago police this morning confirmed that no charges are being sought against the victim."

I haven't been following this thread closely, so sorry if this was already posted, but this is a badass cop right here.

An officer in Tulsa shows off driving, awareness, fitness and marksmanship skills while taking out an active shooter. And he had a ride-along with him when the call came in.
