Homeowner drives home with his family to find his driveway blocked by trash cans. He gets out to move the cans and unfriendly person shows up. Altercation ensues, homeowner shoots unfriendly person, tells cops it was self-defense. Investigation on going.

Does sound like someone said an ambush.

    I don’t think so.

I think these guys really run according to The Script.

“I threaten you, you give me money/car/body.”

If you don’t follow the script they get really mad and beat you to a pulp or worse. Shoot them, and then they are really really mad. It’s your fault that they’re in jail/Hospital/ground? because you didn’t do what you were “supposed to.” You didn’t play the game properly. Unfair! If they happen to be in the ground, their mamas complain for them.

Detroit Michigan a year ago, but doesn’t look like we covered it:

Homeowner awakened at 0430 by Some Dude banging on the door demanding money. Homeowner has seen SD around the neighborhood but doesn’t know him and doesn’t owe him any money. Tells SD that through the door, but SD keeps yelling and beating on door. SD goes around side of house and breaks a window. Homeowner goes outside and confronts SD. SD starts pulling gun, Homeowner faster and shoots him 4 times. SD will never have to worry about money again.

Police question and release homeowner, and I can’t find any articles about him since the original incident, so I think he came out OK with the legal system.

    Short on details.

Somebody tried to hijack an Amazon truck, shots fired, hijacker drove off with truck but crashed it nearby and was found DOS.

Further info reveals there were five under age punks on a robbery spree that got cut short by the Amazon driver.

Alabama, year ago but don’t think we covered it

Woman tries to break into homeowners house during early hours. Homeowner shot and killed her. No charges for homeowner from cops or DA.

That’s about all the info there is, except that the dead woman’s name is Nicole Linton. I found that noteworthy because that’s also the name of that Texas traveling nurse that blasted through an intersection in Los Angeles at about 130 miles an hour and killed six people in August 2022. As far as I know, she still in jail, facing six charges of murder.

Pizza delivery driver goes to address, says he was confronted by two men, at least one with a gun, trying to rob him. Pizza driver shoots one with gun several times killing him. Other runs away. Pizza driver is cooperating with police who say this will go to grand jury. Harris County DA has policy of presenting every homicide to a grand jury.

Dead guy’s brother wants to know why pizza delivery driver was armed. lol.

“Pizza delivery driver“ by itself is answer enough.

Armed miscreant robs man and woman sitting in their car at a gas station. Third-party Good Samaritan gets out of his car and shoots the robber, according to the police as the robber was fleeing. Good Samaritan told man and woman to retrieve their stolen items, and then departed the scene. Robber went to the hospital with torso wound(s). Police have not yet located good Samaritan.

    Could it be Taqueria Man?

    Update:

The robbery was being staged so that an illegal immigrant could get a visa as a crime victim. The dead robbers accomplice has been charged with murder. No charges on the shooter.

The dead robber and his accomplice had been doing “robberies” like this for a while, and the cops recognized the pattern after the dead robber got dead.

And of course his “widow” who he wasn’t actually married to claims “lax gun laws” and the bystander are “the problem.”

Beverly said she knew what he was doing was wrong, but argued that he should have his day in court.
If she had turned him in to the cops he could have had his day in court.

She, along with the phony victim illegals, should have their day in court too, right along side the accomplice charged with murder.
