Houston:

Scarce on details.
Husband and wife here noise at backdoor at 11:20 pm. They go armed to investigate, find backdoor broken in and man in backyard. Couple shoot man drt. Cops have video of some events from neighbor’s security cam. No charges expected to be filed.

ETA: More details. Husband and wife both armed, both fired multiple times as miscreant kicked in back door.

Armed home invaders kick open front door, looks like night time on the video. First guy in turns in to the first inside doorway and is met with gunshots from the homeowner. He flinches, turns and runs, and the other two boogie as well.

Homeowner was wounded in the hand, cops looking for bad guys. Video at the link.

At least from the perspective of the video. We don’t know what transpired off frame. Home owner could have gone to the window after invaders ran off and maybe that’s how he was shot in the hand. From the video I didn’t think it was obvious when the invader shot the victim.

I ran it at .25 speed several times and it looks as though he could have gotten a shot off. It was left/one handed and if he did shoot the flash was hidden by his body.

Amarion Meeks, 16, and Tyree Tillman, 20, used the keys, which were stolen along with the victim's car days earlier, to enter the home at about 3:40 a.m., according to the Tallahassee Police Department.

The homeowner saw the armed suspects in the kitchen, retrieved a rifle and fired 25 shots at Meeks and Tillman. They returned fire and fled in a stolen car. They left behind clothing, jewelry and a stolen gun.

At least one, possibly two, were wounded and Meeks and Tillman have been caught and charged with attempted murder, among other things. Two others are believed to be involved in the invasion.
Another individual was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm, but it sounds like he may have lived at the house and was nabbed while cops investigated the scene. Not sure about this.
