My wife is deplyed with the Red Cross to the hellhole of Maui County, Hawaii for most of the month of January. So I have a lot of time on my hands and unfettered control of the TV Remote.

As per usual when she's gone, I try to watch stuff that might interest me but probably not her. So, I am sort of binging The Rookie on Hulu. Ive caught some of the later seasons on broadcast and, I've got to say, am enjoying teh first season.

The first season was pretty good. after that. The story's just became too improbable. I lost interest.

Prime. Red and Red 2 with Bruce willis, Morgan Freeman, Hellen Mirren, John Malkovich, Brian Cox, Earnest Borgnine, Richard Dreyfuss and s few others you will recognize.
Yes, these were great. I wish there was a Red 3, but alas not possible. Mary Louise-Parker was not a name I knew before but she did a great job.

I finally got to watch John Wick, John Wick Chapter Two, and John Wick Chapter 3 when they came to Netflix this month.

Decent story; gets fairly predictable. By Chapter 3, the fight scenes were just... gratuitous and boring.

How do you get the wife a gig like that? Do they ever stay longer or farther away? Asking for a friend.

    I hadn't seen this here.

    Disney acquired The X Files.

They treat great franchises like Democrats treat America.

Its volunteer work. go to www.redcross.org and volunteer.

She's worked into a specialty leadership position that enabled her to do this. Deployed to Guam last summer and Maui in the fall and now back to Maui. Becasue of the travel involved htey are 3 week assignments instead of the normal 2 week on disasters.

If yo are talking about the Rookie, I;'d agree on he improbabilty. Rookies are usually one-year "probationary" assignments... But the series sells...

I watched the first episode of Yellowstone quite a while back and just didn't get into it. On a whim I started it again a couple days ago and am hooked. Yeah, I know that is like shouting "water is wet!" but I was surprised. Mercury must have been in retrograde the first time.
    The prequels are better.

I just downloaded all of the Fast and Furious movies available on Prime Video. It's not all of them. But, I've only ever seen the first two, and they'll make good airplane time filler.

Reacher they gave me too long to think about it. My prediction.
Reacher gave himself up at the end of episode 7. In episode 8, they will Bind him, and continue to torture his 2 associates and him.

They will bring in the helicopter and get it ready to drop Reacher and his friends in the forest.

AM Will come on the scene and get his missiles armed.

At some point Neagly will breach and free the prisoners, at which point reacher will reah havoc on, and kill all of the bad guys, except AM and Langston, who will try to make their escape in the helicopter. As they fly off, Reacher will pick up one of the armed missiles and shoot it at the helicopter, it will miss and look as though they have escaped. The missile will reacquire the target and destroy it and his enemies.
