I admit to being different in real life than online. I am much more chatty online. I tend to be pretty quiet and awkward until I get to know people.
I have to admit. I’m not as wordy in person. And maybe a little more polite.

Yeah. I thought you'd be shorter. :): I learned that "littletommy" is ironic.

I may not be the most handsomest, but my wife loves me anyway. It's what's inside my wallet that counts.
I was the youngest in my family, I had four older brothers and sisters, so, until my grandparents and aunts and uncles all died off, I was always “little Tommy”.

Oh, and as long as my wife never refers to me as “little Tommy” I’m fine with it. :):

I’ve found that once I actually get to know a person my attitude, how I address and interact them often takes on a more civil tone. When they’re just some faceless or nameless entity, it’s easy to unkind, condescending, coarse, dismissive, etc.

PaulF and I used to cross swords quite a bit until we got to meet in real life. Not that we always saw eye to eye afterward, knowing the person on the other end of the internet tamed how we treated each other. I never got to meet Kut in real life, I often didn’t like his style on INGO but I suspect he’d be a hoot to be around.

I had the opposite interaction. I talked and shot with paulF more than once at get togethers. Got along with him fine. Thought he was BSing me when he said to me in person that he would have banned me a long time ago, had we not both been motorcycle riders... ...then he did ban me, when I got into it with kut, being kut.

PaulF is a good guy, but had no business being in politics section. He just could not separate his work from his deep liberal beliefs, let alone the terrible case of TDS.

I have no ill feelings for kut, I'd bet on him being a great guy face to face. He should have been kicked off of the reservation long before he was. It's understood why he wasn't though.

Anyone that treats all of INGO membership like their personal toys to play with should be sent down the road quickly. :twocents:

PaulF had a habit of inflaming certain discussions and then he would play the mod card after he got everyone wound up. He became uncivil when he decided to join in just as much as anyone when things got heated in a discussion. His temperament was not conducive with the responsibilities of a moderator.

    Yeah, can confirm.

But he was thoughtful and pretty respectful when it came to religious discussion.
