Of course it didn't stop them from lying in court.

“A pharmacist cites CDC and US FDA as why she will continue to deny filling prescriptions for ivermectin. On Tuesday, the FDA’s attorney declared the FDA has no problem with doctors prescribing ivermectin off-label. It’s time for them to make a formal announcement and set the record straight,” Bowden wrote on Thursday.

During the oral argument, Ashley Cheung Honold, a Department of Justice lawyer representing the FDA stated that the agency “explicitly recognizes” that doctors do have the authority to administer ivermectin to treat COVID.

“”FDA explicitly recognizes that doctors do have the authority to prescribe ivermectin to treat COVID,” said Honold.

No, I think they need to stay for posterities sake.

I would, at this point, just like to express a big, kind, loving, heartfelt "F. U. horse paste haters".
I’ve had the worst of those on ignore for 2 years now. People that arrogant and self righteous on one topic tend to be that way on many things.

FDA never had any business weighing in on how drug products are used. Their authority begins and ends at market authorization: i.e. manufacturing and selling drug products.

Well yeah, they were focused on the mass mandatory worldwide sale (kickback payoffs etc) of the new expensive product.
You can't allow any competition in that market.

I wish I could find the very first Covid thread here. Might be instructive as to how peoples' views have changed from what they were back then.
This seems to be it. Then there is a II, III and so on. My old memory says @smokingman had one warning of it in the fall of 2019 but I can’t find it.

I think your right, and I thought we started talking about it Jan 6th or so.

In all seriousness, a lot of learning happened, and lot of perspective has been gained, and I won’t judge someone for changing their mind. I might judge someone for not changing their mind….not that it matters.

All we need to know is evidenced by how TPTB are admitting what many long knew, covering their tracks like always.

Most of us, if we haven’t already, owe it to ourselves to reflect how we reacted to the misinformation, the hysteria, the peer pressure, etc. of the entire period. Even now, for those not demanding an accounting, why are you not? Why that demand is not near-universal…I don’t get.

    Exactly my point.

Here is a quote from an unnamed INGO member that I know has changed their perspective.

"It's usually telling when you watch what the health care workers are wearing. That's the same outfit they wore for the Ebola scare...all bunnied up and not a stitch of exposed skin. Masks not respirators for the moment...

Nothing to see here, ya'll just keep going about your business and enjoy your next flight..."

So there were a lot of people here on INGO that were taking this seriously back then and freaking out a little. I remember the threads about disinfectants and whatnot. So to now say that Trump was wrong back then is to use hindsight. At the time, lots of folks were cheering it.

That said, I do wish he would acknowledge that.
