Yep Trump is alienating his constituents with his attacks. I know I don't like it. He's even. Attacking his wife. Why?
DeSantis hasn't even discussed running for president. Why all the attacks on him? He started before November 8th as well.
    The thing is this:

Trump is right - they do owe him. He blazed that trail for them to tell the Democrats AND the media to **** off, and stick it to them but good. They were all terrified that one wrong word and the fake news media would go after them hard. So they kissed ass, went on the shows, tried to make nice, wah wah wah, and it got them nowhere.

Then Trump came along and started a revolution, and they're all just riding the wave. DeSantis didn't build that and neither did Youngkin - Trump built that and they need to say thank you. So if they're being ungrateful little chits, Trump has a right to be pissed about it.

There's a part of me that thinks that's what it is - they're being ungrateful and Trump is reminding them that he had the courage to buck the system, not them, and they do owe him.

But there's another part of me that thinks it's an act. Trump knows he's radioactive and is trying to distance himself to help the up and comers get traction. But, as has already been pointed out, almost 80% of his endorsed candidates won. So there's that.

I didn't need the midterm election to move away from Trump. I'm not a Trumper. The first time I voted for him, it was because that was the only choice. It's that or Hillary. But he did alright as president. He got more done than I thought he would. And so I voted for him over the senile old hair sniffer. And that wasn't a difficult choice. I'll vote for him again if he wins the nomination. It won't be because I think he's the best person for what we need now. I don't think we need a retarded bull in a china shop. But it beats having a Democrat.

Watched last night....I kinda thought Trump didn't have the fire I once saw....maybe age, he is getting older. Also seemed he held back on name calling and big on attacks....said Pelosi was fired but never called her Crazy Nancy. Not sure if this was new strategy of not being all out attack, creating a new persona of being a little calmer....? My wife asked if I thought Trump had a chance to get elected again. I said not a chance, the elections are still rigged in every democrat state yet. They wait until all Trump votes are in at the stations and add more ballots as needed, and if they got to get postal workers to travel to another state to get some more they will do it. The Left has a ideology that truth isn't ever relevant. So why should any laws working against them be honored. They got real problems in FL. It wasn't the governor was so great, its that the cheating got a kick in the butt. Democrats going to have to come up with something new now, and they got 2 years to figure it out there.

Ivanka announced she won't be part of this campaign. Interesting to see who the players will be this go around.

I predict that if Trump runs in ‘24, the Dems could nominate a monkey and Trump would still lose. The Trump Train needs to run out of steam if we hope to have any chance of winning in ‘24, IMO.

Why do you say that? What has Trump done to warrant that opinion?

IMO the votes show it. This prophesied “Red Wave” didn’t materialize this year, nor did it in 2020 (potential voter fraud aside). He’s a fair-weather politician who’ll do what he needs to so he can secure votes, IMO. And at this point, his reputation is sullied with all the stuff they’ve dug up on him. Short of UNDENIABLE evidence that the dirt on him is false, only the most die-hard MAGA people are going to vote for him willingly. There will be many others who are too afraid to vote by their true principles for fear of “throwing their vote away” who will do as they did against Hillary. That is, they’ll vote for Trump as a vote against whomever he’s up against.

But Trump is both too far right, and not right enough. He’s volatile. He supposedly supported the 2A, yet here we are still dealing with the fallout of his idiotic and kneejerk (again, fair-weather) EO regarding bump stocks.

I just don’t see it happening. He’s burned too many bridges. He’s unstable. He at times appoints people that buy in to his cult of personality rather than those who are truly fit for the position. In short, he’s a mess. Those who don’t grovel at his feet are unlikely to vote for him other than as a dissenting vote as noted earlier.

Maybe I’m wrong. But I’m not voting for him. Voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil, “tHrOwInG aWaY yOuR vOtE” be damned. :twocents:

    Holey S**T.
Let's not get into the "I won't vote for the lesser of two evils" discussion two years before the election...

Hey, he asked… :abused: That about sums up politics for me in general as of late. I probably shouldn’t have commented as I’ll only upset some folks here, so I’ll bow out to preserve some semblance of peace, haha.
