Yeah. I noticed the Meijer we shop at used to have quite a few gun magazines on the shelf, but not anymore. I have not noticed any signs yet, but personally, unless they have armed security there to protect me (they don't), then they will be wasting time with a sign...at least as far as I'm concerned.

Unfortunately it's not a rumor. I know of at least 10 stores with the sign, and it's probably all (or nearly all) of them. This happened just over the past two weeks.

I already emailed corporate, and will call them as well. They need to know they will lose business if they keep up with this foolishness and hatred of freedom.

Curious. Where do you buy your groceries? Where do you buy lumber, hardware, fuel, clothes, etc. at?

Im assuming you raise, grow, butcher, manufacture, sow, stitch, hem, everything you own, to be so critical of those that need to buy these things and not make them for themselves!

It's impossible to boycott every single company that doesn't align with your beliefs. I wish it were that simple

GFZ signs are usually idle gestures to appease insurance companies, employees and make for a false sense of security to the anti gun peeps. Nothing new here.

As a group we can boycott (doesn’t work) or apply pressure for the company to install coat check safe boxes, added security big time and TSA style detectors going thru purses and such for every person on the premises.

Of course, no company could stand the cost of this, nor will the customers ever come back for the hassle.

I of course will carry if I decide to go into one of these stores that so far , I can live without!

Because they outnumber us exponentially. In reality if the Fishers Meijer allowed open carry all the time would they lose more business from those upset by that policy or from a no guns policy?

I honestly doubt that they would lose any business at all. Most of the time that I have seen OC in stores, nobody even notices, and the few times I have seen someone notice, it usually results in asking what holster they are using, or the like.

It’s not giving up our rights if we continue to carry in there, is it?

I could almost make the argument that it’s the other way around, the people that don’t go are the ones caving in to the pressure.

They do not care one iota about the fraction of a percentage of lost business from the gun community, if they wanted our business they’d sell guns/ammo/magazines.

I feel like if a store's stance is no open carry they're attempting to find a middle ground between not treading on rights and not angering the Karens. Since I concealed carry anyways, I pay no attention to the signs. The point of concealed carry is no one notices and if they do notice then I'm doing it wrong. If my carrying is brought to the store's attention and I'm asked to leave, I'll leave. I'll probably be back though and still carrying, probably with better concealment. I don't think boycotting a store or a chain is going to change their stance anyways and it's been mentioned above that unless you are completely self-sufficient you likely cannot function in modern society without eventually running out of stores to shop that don't offend you in one way or another.

ANY business that is openly anti-gun should be told that they`re losing business due to their policy. It`s pointless to simply ignore the signs and carry concealed. They need to know that they`re losing business, and exactly why.

I take a picture of them and put them in my one star review.

Are these signs just a suggestion? Or can they press charges if they find out?
I also shop here and conceal carry everytime.

They can be ignored if its not a School, Post Office, or courthouse. BUT… They don’t need a good reason, or any reason to ask you to leave. Then you must leave or it’s trespassing.

Happy to report that the new Westfield Meijer doesn’t seem to have the signs, sad to report I didn’t hurt anybodies feelings let alone break the law when I went in.
    No one cared.
Actually, I’m neither happy or sad to report the store has no signs, because I don’t care either.
