CRT as being implemented WHOLESALE condemns some as oppressors and others as oppressed, regardless of an individuals circumstances and actions.

That is not BIBLICAL in my view.

So for a CHRISTIAN charity to embrace it goes against what I would consider biblical principles.

Salvation Army has always been at the forefront of giving to all without discrimination.

If there are specific instances where they've been less than equitable in either their organization, in their giving, or had individuals committing actual racist/bigoted/prejudiced acts, then they ought to have dealt with those issues.

Adopting MARXIST principles of viewing the world and history is divisive (as intended.)

No, no, no. This has nothing to do with that. Its just a bad economy, inflation, etc. causing people to not donate as much. Their actions alienating donors couldnt possibly have anything to do with this. amirite?

If anything, its because all of those white racists are ticked off about being called out and are simply being petulant children for withholding the donations they are obligated to give.

    Get woke, go broke

'The situation is dire'; Salvation Army facing toy, donation shortage ahead of holidays

..."There are many reasons why both financial and toy donations are down this year, not the least of which is likely pandemic fatigue and concerns about employment and the future," said Colonel Cindy Foley of the NW Salvation Army Division...

Must have got their talking points from the Biden administration? Blame every problem on the 'rona, regardless that they caused it themselves...

As a Christian, I have always supported the Salvation Army. But like Chik Fil A before - when you get “woke” as a business (or a charity)…you’re alienating your exact customer base….Christians. So, this year…the Salvation Army will not be getting a penny from me. I always support worthy causes and organizations. My charitable contributions will not change this year…just where they are going. Always first and foremost - my church.
I have stopped financially supporting the NRA, now the Salvation Army.
I still support the USO, the Rescue Mission in Fort Wayne, and I’m giving serious consideration to Tunnels to Towers. I suspect the Salvation Army is about to take a serious fund raising “hit” in 2021.

I have always been a big fan of the Salvation Army. Their history is pretty interesting and for those who care, the book, "The Most Effective Organization in the U.S.: Leadership Secrets of the Salvation Army" is pretty eye-opening into how they operate operated. Another good book is "The Life & Ministry of William Booth: Founder of The Salvation Army".

Unfortunately, they have acquiesced as many other companies and organizations for whatever reason. It seems if they stuck to their job and purpose, this other static would be a non-issue. Now they are going to reap the results of that decision. When a business decides to make policy decisions based on feelings and not facts, they are going down a path that will most likely hurt them in the long run.

I will continue to drop some change in the bucket as the recipients of my contribution are not the ones making the decisions, but just looking for help. Additionally, I think my kids should see and participate in giving to charitable organizations, and letting them drop the change in the bucket is a good start. I have a feeling that this may seriously impact the organization and side-tracked them from their purpose, but those that will ultimately pay the price for their foolishness will be those that need the most help.

Or calling all white people racists. My mother always donated a dollar and or change every time she passed one. Not this year though. Being called a racist by them has shut her purse to them.

    Near the big river.
Rang the bell 4 hrs today at Walmart for Salvation Army. We made a commitment awhile ago to do this with my wife's school service organization. I thought it would be interesting to see peoples reaction. Nothing out of the ordinary, seemed like lots of donations, people happy, no comment on being "woke". Very quiet . this is a rural area so people are reasonable as a rule.

Did see a lot of Walmart people, some were umm..weird. Like the guy who had 2 carts full to overflowing with only beer and cat food.

Got to see security stop a group of 6 women/girls who were shoplifting. They went quietly back to the office. Police showed up a few minutes later.

Talked to several relatives and lots of friends.

That's the way it should be. This whole CRT woke thing controversy was an unnecessary distraction from the normal spirit of giving by bell ringers and people who give donations to those in need brought on by SA woke policy makers.

Find a local charity and donate to them this year. You'll do more good and You'll support people in your area.
