The aftermath of the way things were handled is solely on the Biden administration because Trump did'nt make the decision to carry on with the agreement . The general just admitted that the Taliban broke the conditions of the agreement that President Trump made with them. There goes the narative that the US had to be out of Afghanastan by the end of August to meet the terms of the "condition based agreement".

Just prior to the botched withdrawal, the number of troops on the ground was supposed to be 2,500. Turns out it was closer to 3,500.

They were having no problem shoring up the Afghani forces and had exactly zero causalities in 2021, that is, until the withdrawal. In 2020 we had 11, including 4 deaths.

Can confirm; about 2/3 of Fort Campbell is in Tennessee. The post office is in Kentucky, hence the Kentucky address.

Of course, why would they attack 3,500 well armed US troops (or even 2,500) when they could simply wait a few months and take over the country with close to no resistance? The withdrawal provoked the attacks.

This makes me want to go break him out of the brig. As far as I’m concerned, his way is the only way forward.

Perhaps announcing a specific withdrawal date in advance is not such a great idea.
