Why give it to an anti-gun socialist when there are plenty of pro-gun liberty minded individuals that would gladly take that vaccine.

It was meant to be funny. I don't consider the vaccine to be a quality gift. I could not in clear conscience give a patriot this vaccine.

Well sure. This is just the latest opportunity. In the lawsuit defense game, I have seen plenty or people who, though they would never say it out loud, probably think the day they had that accident or work injury was the best day of their lives.

I know a guy who decided that he didn't want to work for the railroad anymore. Put his foot on the rails as a train went buy and lost his toes. I mean. That's dedication to not working.

What long-term studies do we have that it IS safe long term? We've not really done this before with the mrna vaccines.

1. With stable death rates over several years, it is evident that however you slice it, allowing for a small number of exceptions, everyone who died was going to die anyway or else we are missing a whole bunch of dead people.

2. Everyone I know personally who had it found it unpleasant but still a nuisance-class ailment and not dangerous per se.

3. It's allegedly being the Black Plague 2.0 is inconsistent with requiring testing to determine that a person is infected. Generally, when I am sick I am well aware of it without needing someone else to tell me.

Considering these points I am led to the conclusion that the pandemic is 95% hype.

In an hour-long interview with a popular alt-right activist on May 10th, which has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times, Prof Dolores Cahill promised to “debunk the narrative” of the pandemic.
Lockdown and social distancing is not needed to stop the spread of the virus, she said. People who recover are then “immune for life” after 10 days and deaths and illnesses could have been prevented by extra vitamins, she claimed.
People with underlying health conditions, such as cystic fibrosis, could freely engage in society during the pandemic after spending a few weeks building up their immunity in this manner, she went on.
Opposing vaccinations, Ms Cahill said “politicians and the media” are using Covid-19 “as a fear-mongering propaganda tool to try and take away rights from people and to make them more sick and to force vaccinations on us.”
However, the European Commission said the claims made by Ms Cahill, a professor of translational medicine in UCD, could cause “significant harm”, if taken literally.

I think it was the Criminal podcast that did an episode with an insurance investigator - there was a Southern town that had a cottage industry of getting policies, then quickly having "accidents".

There is 30 years of mRNA testing and studies used in various contexts. There is no reason to believe that a vaccine will be any different than any other application.
