For the sake of argument, let's say the ClownWorld™ vs not-ClownWorld™ choice ends up being Biden vs DeSantis, and you vote for not-ClownWorld™. Are you then prohibited from complaining about any shortcomings he might have?
Not once he's elected. Turn it around, if it is Biden v DeSantis are you going to jump at the chance to criticize every little thing while the election is in doubt? If so you will weaken the chances of notClownWorld™ for no good end other than feeding your inner Pharisee

I don't think any candidate has escaped criticism by a vast majority here. A few are just more reticent to criticize one particular candidate than they have with the others.

All I see is a lot of :crying: about me not supporting Trump like you do.

I'll continue to point out stuff I don't like from him just as I would for any other person. Around here he is pretty much the only one that has people glossing over his negatives, which promotes pushback from those that are not as enthralled with him. Like his cabinet and other appointments.
Perhaps you could share the post number where you're critical of DeSantis, I must have missed it - that is, unless you're saying DeSantis is perfect

I have criticized him. I'm not going to go search for any posts for you though.

We don't exactly talk about him a lot around here, and he definitely doesn't have any die hard defenders excusing things he does.

And who is going to vote for Biden instead of Trump around here based upon negative things said about Trump? You can't seriously think that is a possibility.

Constantly harping on Trump's real and supposed flaws certainly isn't designed to strengthen his candidacy!
It can be. Especially if its among his supporters. Most of the arguments here are among people who are going to vote for him anyway. Some people need an intervention. It makes them even better.

When you are ready, I am here for you!

No, trying to duplicate the success of the left.

The left generally coalesces around their leaders. The right cannot even pick a leader. Why? Because of of all the infighting, The ridiculous amount of negative posting some here do concerning Trump is a problem to winning. Heck if the the right in unanimity had demanded true investigation of the election anomalies it may well have changed the outcome, but one thing the left can count on is at least a third of so called right will backstab the cause…

We finally got a president that actually delivered and naysayers just keep fomenting division..
Well no. That was not the gist of the “stop disagreeing with me” thread.

You say you want to win. What is winning? Name a Trump policy that’s still in effect that diminishes ClownWorld™ in any meaningful way. To me, winning is ending ClownWorld™. I don’t see any winning as a possibility in short term. Not if Republicans don’t have a supermajority in congress and a unified view of policy. With Trump best we can hope for is treading water—which frankly is still better than drowning, so I’ll take it if that’s all we can do.

So. Fine. You want unity then everyone do it my way. Point is, what in your worldview are you willing to concede? Oh. What’s that? You were talking about just going along with whatever Trump wants?

At this point, we’re probably stuck with Trump. So I’m fine with voting for him because pausing ClownWorld™ is better than full steam towards it. But don’t expect me to ignore his ****ups like you do. No one deserves blind loyalty, which is not the same thing as supporting him over democrats.

I reviewed the post and cannot find reference to this at all. All I see is your naysaying…
Sometimes nay is the correct answer. If all you can do is “yea” then what’s the point of that? How many yes men does Trump need? If his supporters were capable of constructive criticism maybe Trump would be better. But no.

I think that viewpoint is your projection because it doesn’t fit my actual viewpoint. For example, I would rather see DeSantis win than Trump. I think he has shown a fuller understanding of clown world. I have been almost as critical of him as you have. And his candidacy is quite in doubt. My criticism of DeSantis has not caused him to lose, rather his shortcomings, whether I criticize them or not, is what’s been his downfall.

It’s as if you guys think if no one criticizes Trump then there’s no problem.

    :lala:

See? Trump’s perfect now. Can’t hear anyone criticizing him.

Everyone that wants perfect will be disappointed.

You guys are not critical of just major ****ups you just sit around nit picking everything with no allowance that no President in history has fought this battle, quite possibly the last battle to turn this tide and replace Thomas on the court…

Who wants perfect? Seriously. Who is asking for perfect? Is it okay for a fiscal conservative to criticize needless, mindless spending, for example? You think that's nitpicking? I mean, at least I'm kinda past the porn star ****ing. More because I see a Trump nomination as almost inevitable. And, anyway, Trump's horndog days are probably not on the table for him anyway at this point.

I don't see why it's a problem to say what's wrong with a political candidate even if he's on your side. Me expressing problems that Trump actually has won't affect his candidacy at all. It's not likely there are people on the fence that, but for me expressing an opinion not favorable to Trump, would otherwise have chosen him, and that making the difference in the election outcome.

It's okay to speak your mind. We don't have to hold in our observations because winning is on the line. Maybe if Trump could hear some criticism loudly enough himself, he might think of self improvement.

And he had a terrible time getting his appointees approved, right?

The Rs better get the Senate too. If Schumer is in charge, we may not get a hearing until they do.

No, actually we need the House and Senate, with a surplus of constitutionalist legislators, to get items like Schedule F and break the administrative state

IMO nothing will damage our adversaries more than to break institutional capture on the wheel

You want durable change, that's one of the ways you get it.

If "someone" would just keep his inflated ego in check, we might have a chance this time. 3rd time's a charm and all that.
