New to the East siiiiiiiiiiiiiiide? hahYeah. like the 18 wheeler at 21st and emerson today. On a green with oncoming traffic, he decides to pull a U turn. So myself and a half dozen others, had to stop for him and wait while he pulled a stinking 5 point turn to get his semi turned around on a 4 lane road. SMH. Just go around the block a-hole.
I doubt that employees with “jobs” were participating, more likely those with payments on $100-$200k rigs, trying to keep up with rapidly rising fuel, maintenance, and insurance costs while the brokers keep squeezing on the other side. The drivers participating in this must like something about their job.
As a businessman I certainly understand all of that. I also agree that no faction of our economic system should ever fall under the control of a few entities.I doubt that employees with “jobs” were participating, more likely those with payments on $100-$200k rigs, trying to keep up with rapidly rising fuel, maintenance, and insurance costs while the brokers keep squeezing on the other side.
IMHO, an independent transportation system is an important aspect of freedom, having the entire transportation system controlled by conglomerates is not good for freedom…
Involving the masses has improved the end result many times throughout history. The agreement of the masses is necessary to get the change desired.Involving the masses in personal or business decisions has never improved the end result.
Any protest that involves blocking off public thoroughfares and violating the rights of others does NOT help win my support for any cause.

I disagree completely. If only there were some way to balance the power equation. Some way for those who do the work to band together to even the power they hold in negotiations up a bit. Is INGO finally ready to turn on the "job creators" and stop yelling socialism every time someone points out that power and wealth accumulating in fewer and fewer hands is bad for the economy and society as a whole? Or should truck drivers just take whatever they are offered, which is generally the mood here whenever wages are brought up. If you don't like the job, don't do it. Learn to code.
I disagree completely.
More government control and more socialism is always bad. The free market provides the remedy, even though it's not instant. If people don't like their jobs, fewer do it, supply of that job goes down. If demand stays steady (e.g. people still want the results of that job), then prices of supply (e.g. workers) go up to balance.
Forgot purple.which is why we don't allow monopolies in most instances
I agree if. You are referring to involving the masses as willing, invested, constituents. If you are implying the 465 crusade is going to improve anything, I respectfully disagree.Involving the masses has improved the end result many times throughout history. The agreement of the masses is necessary to get the change desired.
That we are so soft that a little traffic delay upsets us is another indication of how we have fallen…
Got even more publicity?Wonder what they would have done if a bunch of cars in front of the trucks slow rolling, went slower.
