After what happened yesterday - and I don't mean the Antifa-led false flag op made to look like Trumpers broke from their longstanding practice to always be peaceful & lawful - I don't see how we can say this is a Republic anymore. We obviously don't have free, honest & open elections anymore and that seems to be a prerequisite for being a Republic.

Now we know that save for just a few who kept their Oath, the ENTIRE federal government has warred against the Constitution, canceled our Republic, declared that they are rulers over the people and that they - not we - will determine who rules. And not just the federal government. State and local governments have also usurped authority for absolute dictatorship.

Now, I dare anyone to tell me that the founders wouldn't be shooting already. I'm not advocating or calling for anything - I'm just asking, WWWD?

    What Would Washington Do?

Welcome to the United Socialist States of America. The Party members (the members of the Professional politician / bureaucrat class - to which party affiliation really has no bearing) have regained their unfettered power with the removal of a non-member. Now those in power can accelerate the pace of the full communation of this nation by finishing their efforts to gut the Bill of Rights, and work hand in hand with their propagandists in the media and tech sectors to ensure their control of the levers of power.

...and freedom and liberty died with a whisper.

Remember this time, 03:39 AM CERTIFICATION OF ELECTORAL VOTES "At the conclusion of counting the Electoral ballots, the Vice President reported to the Joint Session that the votes would be recorded as follows: For the Office of President of the United States, Joseph R. Biden, Jr.--306; Donald J. Trump--232; and for the Office of Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris--306; Michael R. Pence --232."
(I tried to find the roll call votes to get the names, but failed)

Since we are on a gun forum.....

Every class I've taken that talks about self defense talks about staying in the fight. This fight ain't over. In fact, I am optimistic because I think it finally is beginning.

People like to talk about frogs and lobsters.

Well the water isn't slowly heating up anymore and someone just moved the burner from keep warm/simmer to at least medium high.

I think frogs will start jumping now more than they have since the Contract with America.

Just like the RINOs sat on their hands and let Obamacare survive, perhaps some of the less whacko Dems nearer the center will throttle back the likes of AOC and the gang. We can hope that all politicians can learn some lessons and be reminded they are representatives of the citizens of the United States.

I hope you are too. I am of the opinion most of us here agree on a lot more than we disagree on when it comes to the government we want. Disagreement is just where most of the talk is.

I pondered on it pre Nov 3rd on here and with IRL friends. Perhaps total control by the democrats is what we need to wake people up.

I suppose if I was going to propose the best case scenario for that, it would be the way it played out in the Senate. 50-50.

The flipside is if I am wrong I will definitely be doomed to a chorus of "I told you so" for the rest of my life, but if I am wrong that will be the least of my troubles. The first big indicator I will be watching for is the mid terms.

There is no coming back from this. If we actually had unbiased media which would report the truth we might have a fighting chance, without it freedom is done.

The good news is within a couple of years we should see the illegal immigration problem reverse course as thousands try to cross the border into Mexico to escape what will have become the world's newest garbage dump.

No there will be no reversals here. We are in the downslide and it will not go back. Society is rolling down that same hill in lockstep with this decline. Look around. Trash every where. Panhandlers and vagrants on most every corner. Tent citys in places you would never ever expect them a few years ago. The mentality of the general public has declined as well.

Yep, from sea to shining sea. If only there were some way to determine what was causing this type of thing to occur. Maybe if most of the dumps in America shared something in common, it's just so difficult to figure it out.

Now they just need to figure out how to get rid of all of us old fashioned people with morals, ethics, a conscience and a desire to work for freedom and they'll have it all wrapped up in a nice little package with a bow on top.

I know my opinion don't mean much to you, but, having been around here awhile, I have always valued yours.

I remember hearing your perspective on law enforcement issues and learning new things.
I remember you buying a new piece of property and getting it all set up for retiring on it and how happy it seemed to make you.
I don't remember hearing you talk in such a defeated tone. Nor do I like it. I actually found it somewhat jarring.

Maybe it's just my memory. Its not as good as it used to be, but I don't remember seeing you as active in the political forums as you have been in the last few weeks or couple of months. Maybe its because your tone has so drastically changed and you haven't been more active in the political forums or maybe its just me.

This ain't over, unless we just give up. This is STILL the greatest country in the world and we still have more tools to change things here than anywhere else.

I sincerely hope this despondency is temporary.

I also remember you to be a spiritual person so

Therefore, I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink or about your body, what you shall put on it. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air. They neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit to his span of life? (A variant reading is: cannot add one cubit to his stature, to our height. We can’t make ourselves a half an inch higher. We are as tall as we are, and we’re going to live as long as we’re going to live, and there’s nothing we can do about it.)

And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They neither toil nor spin, and yet I tell you even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O, you of little faith. Therefore, do not be anxious, saying, “What shall we eat, or what shall we drink, or what shall we wear?” For the Gentiles seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be yours as well. Therefore, do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Let the day’s own trouble be sufficient for the day.
I was in church once at a Liturgy where this text was read. The text that was read said, “Do not worry about your life, about things, or about tomorrow.” Well, “worry” might be a good word. It’s certainly better than the translation that you find in the King James Version, which says “take no thought about your life” or “take no thought about tomorrow” or “have no care” or “be not caring about it.” I think that’s not a good translation, personally, because we should be careful. You’ve got to be careful. We’re going to have cares. We’ve got to care about what we eat. We’ve got to care about what we drink. And we certainly have to take thought about it. What kind of a family life would we have if the parents didn’t think about food, drink, and clothing? You’ve got to think about it. It’s not a case about not caring or not thinking about it, but the commandment is not to be anxious about it.

Now, what is anxiety? I think a definition of anxiety is where you are constantly worried and troubled and thinking and so on about what might be: maybe we won’t have it; maybe there will be no food; maybe the clothes will be gone; maybe I’ll lose my job; maybe the economy will crash; maybe the world will end; maybe the terrorists will attack. It’s all put into an imaginary, I would even say, fantasy world. Anxiety, in some sense, plunges us immediately into a fantasy.

People who study anxiety distinguish radically between anxiety and fear, and we’ll talk about fear today also. When you are afraid—and we’ll get to fear—there’s a very clear object: somebody is chasing you with a knife and wants to kill you, or an earthquake is going on. There’s plenty of reason to be afraid of things. Fear generally has an object—it’s pretty clear what you’re afraid of or afraid about—but anxiety doesn’t. Anxiety is kind of a vague, general feeling without some kind of an object. It’s almost like a state of mind, a state of soul, where you are just worried and troubled and anxious. But there’s not anything there concretely that you are really anxious about, except a general feeling that something might go bad.

So, in this particular commandment about anxieties; anxieties are real. People can have anxieties about what they’re going to eat or drink and so on, but very often they’re not connected with the fact that they just don’t have any food or don’t have any clothing. It’s that they’re worried that they might not have any.

So, you have this teaching about not being anxious. Here it is connected with faith in God—the whole point is the faith in God. If you seek the kingdom of God, if you live for God, then you have to believe that God will give you what you need. If he doesn’t, and if calamity strikes, then that’s the will of God, too. Anxiety is not going to change anything.

There is a Russian saying that God is everywhere except in fantasy. The minute you being fantasizing about what might be or what might not be or what could be, or what could not be, or what may happen or not happen—when, in fact, it’s not really happening yet and you have no reason, so to speak, to be fearful or really concerned or worried—then that’s anxiety. That is considered to be like a mental illness, and, of course, it can be connected with brain chemistry and all this stuff we know now—anxiety, depression, despondency, anger, and all those things. We’re embodied spirits, we have bodies, we have brains, and we have things that are rooted in the brain. But when we are transcendent to our own feelings and hear the Gospel, we can hear a commandment of our Lord saying to us, “Me merimnate; me merimnisate—do not be anxious; I am with you; I am taking care of you; don’t plunge yourself into that world where you’re just tied up in knots and entangled, etc. It’s not going to get you anywhere.”

Population control, by way of decreased electoral votes in migrant intense states, is the only way out without a hard reset. The guys in here lamenting all of this happening like it just started in 2020 haven't been paying attention for about the last 40 years. Unchecked immigration from south of the border has turned the west of the country into a gigantic blue voting block and it's about to get way, way, worse. I expect about 30 million new democrat voters to get minted in about the next 9 months, then it's over for good, forever. This has been my expectation for years now and 45 was just a surprise, but welcome, speed bump.

What that actually means in day-to-day life, for the rest of my life, remains to be seen. Once they pass all of their horror show legislation and 99% of us peacefully fail to comply, then what are they gonna do? Exciting times ahead!

I appreciate your grace after what I've said to you. I do.

I spent 26 years of my life believing in, standing up for and, to the detriment of my body, defending the difference between right and wrong. Wrong has won. Myself and everyone who thinks and believes like me are now considered to be the enemy of this country.

If there was a time when this may have been avoided that time came to an end yesterday. There are zero cards stacked in our deck. Evil has triumphed after a long, hard fought battle.
