Ya dude I wanna get America truck simulator on pc. I’d love to have drove a truck, but then I get on 465 and I realize why I didn’t
I've been gaming on PC for almost a year now. I waited till Steam put ATS on sale and bought all the maps and some other DLC but not all. Saved a ton on that sale. ATS on the screen.

I started off like some of the "older" members here and had an Atari. Stepped up to the NES, then a Sega Genesis and onto the PS1. Went dormant and then decided one day to get a PS3 (late 2010 or 2011) and took back off with gaming. Bought a 4 a year after they came out. Last year I decided to step into the PC world of gaming and find it better than console (for the types of games I'm playing). I do enjoy me some Farm Sim (it is just kind of relaxing in an odd way), ATS, Snowrunner (far better on PC), The Hunter: Call of the Wild (better on PC but this game has its flaws and is so close to being a top of the line hunting game) and I picked up Ghost Recon Wildlands when Steam put that on sale. I occasionally dip back onto the 4 and play some GTA5 but not as frequent as I used too.

PC is great for simulation style games. Anything competitive, PUBG, battlefield, etc is overrun with hackers so it’s pointless to invest any time on those types of games. I usually only play iracing on pc, I have other games, like arma, but iracing is about the only reason I turn it on. My brother texted me over the weekend, said my iracing profile says my last login was on 4/18/20 so it’s been over a year since I’ve even had it on.

Here's a quick Snowrunner clip. This is a mod truck on a mod map. Also on the PS4 using my cellphone to record this video. This was back in April before Snowrunner was released on Steam.

So at the start of the year I scheduled Tuesday after Labor Day off. Well a bunch of people wanted it off so I told them I would work it if they moved my day off to Friday instead, I’d just get two 3 day weekends. So now today I have a ENT appointment so it worked out well.

So while I sat around this morning drinking my Red Bull I decided to turn on rdr2. I think im addicted all over again.

New battlefield released. It’s 6th on steams lowest reviews. I used to love battlefield bad company and 3 and 4.
I havent played Battlefield since they allowed the kids to take daddy's credit card and buy all the weapons. I got tired of getting smoked repeatedly 30 seconds after spawning because some kid had the best weapon out there, while I was still on the 2nd level. (less than a month into the release) It just wasnt fun anymore so I walked away. I wasnt about to drop another $90+ on top of the game just to be competitive. It was bad enough when we had kids that could grind for 8 hours a night after school while I only had 2 to play due to family commitments. But when they didnt have to grind to advance, the fun died immediately.

Man, I REALLY miss 1942 and 2142. Haven and I did some epic gaming, and even a few lan parties. One in a hotel in WI that ended up with an annoying bikini model eventually with some of the gamers in the hottub. (thank God I missed that part of the party. I met her briefly with her clothes on and she was annoying AF. I hear she ended up on pornhub. skanky )

The only gaming related item I have to note is that Linux gaming has come a long way. My main rig is now on Linux Mint with the Cinnamon DE and I really like it. Steam has added great built in Linux support with their Proton partnership. No, not everything works, but there's many more games working now than in the past. I'm playing and enjoying Grim Dawn again, though admittedly it's a bit older. Still, nice not to have to reboot into my Windows drive every time I feel like a little gaming...

I have a love/hate relationship with Arma 3. Bohemia broke all the optimizations for the game, and it just doesn't run like it used to, mainly because it has lackluster multi-thread support. I used to be able to run Tanoa on Ultra settings with the draw distance up to the full 12 kilometers and still get mostly consistent 60 FPS (that was before I got a 1080ti and was using a 3GB Radeon Card). However, before I got my current system, I couldn't get the thing to go past 25 unless I limited my draw distance to 400 meters. It was so screwed up, I had to use Ultra settings, because the FPS would dip even more if I lowered the settings (this is because if the settings are too low, the game will switch away from using the GPU and use the CPU). Even now it doesn't run as well as it should on my current system. With all mods unloaded, I only get a frame boost of around 7 frames.

sorry about the late reply, i play cyberpunk on pc and have been really lucky as to any bugs. it plays really well on my system. i love the game by the way

Honestly with the new DLC it's probably my favorite game of all time, been playing it since launch on a PS5 and it's like the game was designed for me. But I LOVE the cyberpunk / bladrunner motif.

I actually took 2 days off work so I could have an extended weekend to play the new Phantom Liberty DLC, I have not played a game like this since The Witcher 3.

Oh dude I was in front of the computer for like 20 hours over two days for Phantom Liberty. Coffee by one hand, whiskey by the other.

2077 was like if somebody came down from the gaming heavens and delivered a game made specifically for me, with everything I love in the universe jammed into it. When it came out I thought "wow, this would be the greatest game I've ever played, if it just ran and worked a little better".

Well, now it does. 2077 + Phantom Liberty is the definitive statement for why I love video games. It's awesome.

So I wanted to wait untill I could explore the new 2.0 2077 fully to confirm how epic it is. I 100% agree with you, this is like if Blade Runner and DREDD (2012) had a video game love child.

I have 30~ hours sunk into the DLC so far and am not even finished yet. I was fortunate enough to have a PS5 when 2077 was released (this game is the reason I got one at launch day), so the game has ran OK for me the entire time honestly. But now it's polished up like it should have been at release.

Definitely glad CDPR took it's time with this, the Dogtown story is awesome with some real James Bond moments. I loved the Black Sapphire club scene (check your apartment for a Easter egg). I hope phantom libertys success is enough to get Cyberpunk 2 totally Green lit as I am sad we only get one DLC for this game. Also really glad Keanu reprised his role as Johnny Silverhand for the DLC as well , Johnny not being present would have been weird.
