Ok funny story, the print shop I used to work for printed menus for a local restaurant that was known for its award winning ice cream… except the photos in the menu were colored mashed potatoes!

The lights in the photography studio were so hot, that the ice cream would melt before they could take the pictures!

And here’s where it gets better, our paper vendor sent a sample to the paper mill that made the paper, the mill placed an order and used it as a “paper sample” to show what could be printed on their paper!

My understanding is almost all food in commercials is fake…

When I was growing up, we weren't poor, but my parents kinda acted like we were.....and my Dad had a very comfortable retirement as a result.

Folks eat out all the time. If I was to go out to eat as a kid, it was a treat.
