It would depend largely on the slave owner, many owners treated their slaves more like imployees but you never hear about that cause where's the fun in that.
Just like real life it would depend on attitudes between the two parties.
Slavery was nothing new, it goes way, way back in world history.
President Lincoln ended it in the U.S. but at the cost of thousands of American lives, that was the reperation, no more was needed.

Because it shows the thoughts and attitudes of some of our enemies. As DadSmith said, it's important to know your enemies. While this might be a troll site, I've seen other articles and interviews with Leftists spouting the same garbage. It's not like it's a completely made up position, just a stupid one.

I know a lot of small town and country church preachers who give all they can in time and money to help their fellow man.

I don't know of any professors that do the same.

I have known some pofs and preachers that are great. I have known many more of each that have very comfy deals worked out.

The craziest people i have ever met are profs and/or preachers.

They stand in front of a room full of people and claim to know the truth.

Hiring selection is usually based on adherence to dogma and politics.

Disagree with them and you have to face their acolytes /true believers.

You cannot make them put up or shut up because well just because.

Am i describing a prof or preacher?

I value some profs and some preachers. There is not much of a difference as i see it (raised in a small country church, attended mega churches, snake churches, charismatic churches, IU Bloomington).
