Yet more evidence that Budweiser made a terrible mistake.

Because Bud could not have been stupider in their marketing and their response. They managed to **** off at least 3 "sides".

    1) Core customers who didn't appreciate being called something like "juvenile frat boys" or however exactly it was phrased.
    2) Conservatives upset they partnered with a tranny to reach tranny watching customers
    3) Tranny watching customers/allies who got mad they folded like a card table

    Then to a lesser extent:
    1) Those who are turned off by hypocrisy
    2) Those who forgot Bud Light existed but are now boycotting it because it's cool to do so
    3) Marketing majors who just can't even

And finally to a big extent:
    1) Those who don't want to engage in the equivalent of "open carry" for beer in public and "invite a conversation".

    Perfect storm of stupid.
Exactly! I don’t think this is a successful boycott. Rather more weak corporate weathervanes.

Budweiser has been quietly dying for decades so it’s wishful thinking that they’re dying because they ticked off conservatives I agree with dagny nothing is more appalling and suicidal Than weathervane marketing.

Wait. What? Dying? Bud Light has been the top selling beer for the last two decades. Despite their recent nosedive, year-to-date they are still the top selling beer because they were that far ahead of the rest.

The near death of Bud Light is because of their marketing blunders this year. To BBI’s point, they managed to **** off almost every faction who might drink their beer. The only people buying it now are those who are apathetic to the political and cultural implications. And that group is still very large. Their sales aren’t dead now.

They’re down 24%. That’s huge. But not dead. And that drop happened because of the marketing blunders.

I agree about the marketing blunders. I don’t think it’s a conservative win (unfortunately) just marketing 101 - you can’t go one way and then backtrack and go the other.

And quietly dying yes, millenials are not drinking as much bear. I see it in the numbers and IMO I see it in real life.

Bud Light sales volumes for the week that ended June 10 dropped 30.3 from the same point last year, which is the biggest decline since the boycott began, according to Nielsen IQ tracking figures presented to Newsweek by Bump Williams Consulting. The brand’s sales revenue, meanwhile, was down 26.8 percent from the same week in 2022.

At least their year over year sales will stop dropping roughly next May...

Didn't watch the NFL Superbowl this year but heard there were no Budweiser Clydesdales for 2023 after decades of heavy advertising. A quick Google search and it looks like the tranny can wasn't an accident but part of a marketing plan that has been in place for quite some time this year. Maybe they can get some strap on unicorns in rainbow colors to put on the Clydesdales next year.

Why didn't Budweiser have a Clydesdale commercial in 2023?

Budweiser opted to focus its primetime commercial on how Budweiser is consumed and celebrated by various, diverse groups of people, rather than show Clydesdales rushing through blizzards with Budweiser bottles and a puppy in tote.

The best way to hurt big alcohol or any other woke corp. is to insist to your investment broker that he not invest your money in any stock or MF that contains AB/IB stock. The simple way to do this is to use a broker that has a “biblical “ investment option. The majority of those available stocks meet a set of criteria set out by the broker to list them as biblical. Make sure that criteria meets your standards and start taking away investment capital from these companies.

    Really working.

“The Ardagh Glass Manufacturing Company has come out with the announcementthat after some production slowdowns, the company will be laying off nearly 650 employees this month, with severance packages being negotiated with unions. The company, a third-party glass bottle supplier to Anheuser-Busch, will be closing two of its plants as well – one located in Simsboro, Louisiana, and the other in Wilson, North Carolina. These layoffs and closures are tied to the steep drop in sales of Bud Light.”

This becomes a strong indicator of just how poorly this once-august brand has performed since the ill-fated decision to promote trans activism nationally.”

This is as clear a sign as it can get that this drop in sales is both significant and enduring.
