Saw a meme recently contrasting the election irregularities (to be charitable and inclusive) to the bud light ordeal, it said something to the effect that conservatives care more about their beer than their elections security.

Why has this boycott been so successful?

For most attempted boycotts and actions, only people who are particularly interested in that issue and highly motivated take part. For the bud light one, it appears that a lot of "regular joe's" are taking part who are not usually involved in the political process. IMO, like anything else, it has a lifespan. In a few months, no-one will even remember. So hopefully conservative leaders are using this opportunity to push against other companies implementing left-wing policies.

I believe the same as you expressed and thought it would recede by now, but the data shows it is still growing, hence why I asked the question.

“Nationwide retail sales of Bud Light were down 23.4% versus a year ago in the week of April 29 — worse than the 21.4% decline it suffered a week earlier, according to Bump Williams Consulting and NielsenIQ data.”

I certainly agree this boycott will blow over just like Yetti, carhartt, coke etc. It’s also mildly amusing to see the lbgtqwhatever getting on the band wagon because bud isn’t defending darling Dillon vigorously enough. Lol

A gay neighbor who lives near my lake house said “Budweiser just can’t f**kingwin.” He’s right! They should sell beer to whoever wants to buy it. Not use their products to alienate customers who prefer not to support bud telling them they are wrong.

At the end of the day. I think InBev got the message loud and clear from all sides. I’m down for keeping the heat on them as long as possible.

I’m hoping this serves as a lasting message to other manufacturers/retailers to stay out of the social engineering business. They need to leave the business of pissing the public off to the politicians.

Why has this boycott been so successful?

Because Bud could not have been stupider in their marketing and their response. They managed to **** off at least 3 "sides".

    1) Core customers who didn't appreciate being called something like "juvenile frat boys" or however exactly it was phrased.
    2) Conservatives upset they partnered with a tranny to reach tranny watching customers
    3) Tranny watching customers/allies who got mad they folded like a card table

    Then to a lesser extent:
    1) Those who are turned off by hypocrisy
    2) Those who forgot Bud Light existed but are now boycotting it because it's cool to do so
    3) Marketing majors who just can't even

And finally to a big extent:
    1) Those who don't want to engage in the equivalent of "open carry" for beer in public and "invite a conversation".

    Perfect storm of stupid.

Maybe not. But odds are they will just continue to buy Miller Lite instead.

Eventually they may not remember WHY they are drinking Miller, but the damage is already done. They will continue to protest without really protesting.

Xwing may have hit on a great point, “regular joes”. 60% of light beer is to men and over 50% are 25-44.

And, I think this was a "proxy vote" against the a man-can-become-a-woman-just-by-saying-so trans agenda.

IMO, the vast majority have no problem with Katlin/Bruce... live and let live... none my business. Probably had no idea who Dylan was prior to this going viral.

But men competing against their daughters in women's sports, sharing restrooms with the women/girls in their lives, the "people with vaginas" nonsense... nope!

This is a "safe" way to say "**** no" to that without risk of getting cancelled/fired/Karen'ed for it.

This... plus it is so easy to switch because every bar has at least three light yellow beers that basically taste the same. But once you get in habit of ordered "your brand" you just continue without thinking. Chances are bars with a choice will no longer have a Bud Light tap and will instead offer something that sells.

Hard to compare to elections. With light beer you have a dozen choices of mediocre beer. For elections you have only two mediocre choices and are often left with pulling your party of choice lever unless of course you can't hold your nose and do that because your preferred party put a real stinker on the ballot.

Not hard at all to compare the public reactions to two very different events, far more normies are talking bud light and taking pleasure at the results than ever were even paying attention to the election irregularities…

Well with the election regularities the perpetrators and they lackies (the media) were far better liars and had a consistent message every time they opened their mouth, calling it the Big Lie. It was a successful marketing campaign making voters believe there were no irregularities (laws broken).

Anheuser-Busch lies worse than a kindergarten kid who is in trouble. They keep making up different stories and pointing fingers. Each time their attempt at getting out of the controversy fails they try another lie.

It is a matter of action-ability.

Buying vs. Not Buying a brand of beer is something every single person over the age of 21 can take direct, personal action on, regardless where they live. It's precisely why companies are so scared of consumers in the age of social media. If one person quits buying a product, an opposite-minded person *** who doesn't already buy the product *** would have to start doing so to cancel that out - and successfully recruit a friend, to move the needle the other way.

On the other hand, changing how Philadelphia (for example) distributes, collects, and counts their ballots is not something the vast amount of INGOers can personally exert any influence on, whatsoever. You can beeoch about it on social media, write letters to your congressman, rail about it in your church mens' group...but you're just like the State of Texas. You don't have standing. Our system leaves election integrity to the STATES. It's not federalized. You can take action in your own state to corrupt Indiana's result the other way, but it doesn't change the electoral vote outcome.

It's not that conservatives in other states are "lazy" and don't care how Pennsylvanians administer their votes.

It's that, under our system, it's none of your damn business.

Maybe the idiots at Bud got what was coming to them! A substantial drop in their corporate valuation and a 25%+ drop in sales as the result of trying to be PC with the transgender BS. They tried shoving it down the market’s throat along with their pi$$ poor “beer” and the market reacted!

Maybe people have finally had enough. Maybe they reached a breaking point and are not willing to be forced to dance to every lunatic fiddler that comes down the screen.

The latest data I could easily find was Feb 2022 that said Gillette fell another 5 points of market share to be down to 49%. They started that anti man "woke" nonsense in 2019.

Perhaps bud will have some rough road also
