    It has been a very long time since I worked for the DOC, but I recall the tear representing a dead comrade. I don't remember the others.

    The dog bone unknown. The tear as one above states is for loss of a brother in arms and the knife represents revenge of the tear.

    I was taught the teardrop signified you had taken a life? Or you were raped in prison and your rapist tagged you with the teardrop? Guess it has different meanings, none of which are redeeming qualities.
