Ditto. I was sent to my closet to get a belt. I slipped a magazine or thin book down the back of my pants. That didn't work as expected. When Dad found it, the usual swat on the pants became a clothing free, bare butt whooping. I never did that again.

Lol been there. It’s as if when we were kids we thought laughing would make mom realize it was pointless and just stop. Nope. Mom got the last laugh, and dad didn’t have a sense of humor.

My dad did have a sense of humor. I laughed once when mom whacked my behind. Stood in a corner until he got home from work. She loses her mind explaining what happened. He gathered me up, took me to another room and called me a dumbass before making it right with her.

Learned a lot that day, from both sides.

I wish I had a Ford Excursion, with a leaky exhaust system that also burns a quart or two of oil every couple K, so I could plaster her face all over it, send her pictures and laugh when she strokes out!

If you want something done really crappy, inefficiently and expensive - just have the government do it.

Years ago I took an advanced class in 'System 1032', a now-obsolete DBMS. There were about a dozen of us in this class in Reston VA and two people were from the National Weather Service in Maryland(basically Washington DC). Both of them were barely qualified to drool but yet the government paid them as senior programmers. I can't imagine them accomplishing anything in years of effort.
