Drove north today and encountered closed/flooded roadways North of US30 but in the southern promised lands at least the roads were not closed and all were passable.

I did stop at Smuggler's Coffee for a cup of brew on my way home. Only open on Friday and Saturday morning thru lunch. Coffee and pastry only. Great vibe. Roasted right there, in fact it's a custom roaster that opened a tiny front end retail operation. Guy named Dave is the owner and runs the counter, why a Cedartucky resident would open (barely) north of US30 is a mystery to me. He used to roast in a building on the west side of Lowellabama.

Dyer retail shop is hard to find, no sign outside. But if you like coffee and a funky vibe, stop in for great coffee.

I had an easy breezy trip to Midway at 7 this morning to drop of my brother. Was shocked how well traffic moved.

I cannot believe the type of person it takes to be a GOOD nurse…….. remarkable, and definitely takes a certain nurturing bone.

I do feel I am going to be volunteering time to causes that mean something to me… Appleseed , trap shooting , archery , 4h , youth shooting, history etc etc I do however feel overwhelmed since I am not an “expert” in these fields. We have already started some which is a big step for an introverted person lol

I was telling my wife that yesterday. Weather app on my phone shows lower to mid 40's most of next week. I'll take it.

Successfully avoided the Black Hole known as Bedford Park. This one sailed right on through.

The last one I was complaining about delivered yesterday but I have another that was supposed to deliver today which has been sitting in the black hole since 5am yesterday. I'm crossing my fingers for tomorrow but I'm pretty sure it won't make it here until at least Monday.
