Right. And I was discussing with Ingomike and his premise of, "be free or go about their business". The feds aren't there to keep the peace. And just because agency A isn't enforcing some law, doesn't give the federal government the right to step in.

    Agreed.

However, I see it as general chaos and rioting as opposed to an true insurrection.

When someone tells you what they are all about, over and over, you should probably believe them.

I get the media pushing a narrative on this, but why do you Jetta? If they declare they are fighting a war against the US and its oppressive government and people why can we not just believe them and treat them accordingly?

I suppose CHAZ was just some random people saying, hey. This here police station is abandoned. Let's police ourselves and see how that works out?

And the local LEOs sat and watched, though I doubt it was by choice.

I'm curious if the governor, mayor, etc will allow them to actually do something now.
I'm interested in how the local authorities are going to be able to live up to their end of the bargain, while defunding police. Portland has had a significant Antifa presence since 2016, the Feds pulling out are unlikely to make them go back to Twitter slacktivism.

The Trump administration has ordered the Department of Homeland Security to move special federal agents (dressed in full military combat gear) into specific states and cities to 'help' with the current protesting and violence issues. The problem is, they do not have to identify themselves when arresting people and can hold anyone without charges. They have also committed whats considered war crimes against American civilians by destroying medical equipment used to assist wounded or hurt protesters.

It’s alarming to say the least. Hard to say what it could lead up to. Seems like a slippery slope though. Like you said, first it may silence rowdy protesters. Who’s next?

The riots aren't just general chaos. It's a means to an end. They're fighting for the revolution. Just ask them.

Exactly. This is part of the process of insurrection. Slowly boiling the frog, ratcheting up the level of violence and scope of activity.

Nadler even parroted the Antifa propaganda this week in session, saying there were “moms” and “veterans” standing up to protest the feds in Portland. They call them Antifa Moms and veterans, but to see him echo their strategy in congress is incredible.

Federal agents’ primary responsibility is enforcing federal law, that’s true. However, certain states, like Indiana, give most federal law enforcement agencies peace officer status. That means they can also enforce certain state laws. Also, under national events, the President can allow federal agencies to operate outside of their normal duties to assist in things like national emergencies. So agencies like DEA would work in a role not specific to Title 21 federal drug laws and even deploy teams to hurricanes/national disasters to work in rescue operations and force security. All of this is legal and not the US Gov overreaching. It’s about national security.

Now c’mon. Those were peaceful nails embedded in those fireworks. Probably got them from repurposing baby cribs, and puppy beds.

I’m just curious of the sentiment here. Maybe it’s posted elsewhere, if so please direct me.

Do you guys consent to deploying a special squad to “handle” some misdemeanor level crime (if crime at all) on unarmed citizens trying to protest?

You don’t have to agree with the protesting, but do you agree with the use of these tactics?

To me, this is a bit overreaching. I mean let’s say gun control starts being debated and there’s a threat of taking away guns. Does this not set precedence for the federal government to override states and deploy special forces against gun-rights activists?

This just seems very Orwellian to me.

    Curious to your thoughts.

    Doesn't phase me one bit.

It's being poorly done though INHO.

Keep in mind that this was NOT the first option.

This is being done due to a rift within our own system where the government is basically at war with itself. We're in a situation where local government cannot be relied upon to do their job as they are required to by law. The federal government has no choice but to step in and take up the slack. Also note that local magistrates are not only allowing this lawlessness to continue, but they are encouraging it, and in some cases, participating in it, in what is basically another all out coup attempt.

What does surprise me, quite frankly, is that (and maybe he's just waiting til after the election) martial law hasn't been declared, and these traitorous mayors, and governors, and congressmen, and senators, haven't been rounded up as enemies of the state for open insurrection. That may seem very extreme to some, but to me it seems like about the only thing to do to keep this from turning into a shooting war. Unless (and maybe that's why he's waiting) he wins re-election, and things calm down a bit on their own as the cold brings an end to the warm weather riot season.

Here's what I'd like to see the feds do...

I'd like to see an operation with more of am ambush type of set up... Once the riot starts... cell jammers kick in. We use military encrypted coms, and have ISR keeping tabs on the mob. A well coordinated surprise attack is made by mass formations of feds from pre-positioned troops a few blocks away, coming in from behind the mob, quickly, and silently, from every direction, where we capture every single rioter out that night. Follow up with news footage of 400 or so zip tied *******s sitting on some gym floor somewhere in their fresh clean orange jumpsuits, crying for lawyers, and mommies. All permanently stripped of citizenship, declared enemy combatants, terrorists, and prisoners of war, as they await their ship that will transport them to some island in the Aleutians where that can be dumped to start their life sentence... at the new Alcatraz.

With the info on every single funding path squeezed out of them, followed by RICO seizures and more arrests.

    I know, dream on, right?

That's Peace Shrapnel. I think those were a component of the steamers that occasionally fell on Oceania.
