Well... a 90 gr Speer TnT has a nasty effect of tearing groundhogs in half with their 'innards' hanging out... Let me see if I can make a pic family friendly...

My pref is 70gr Nosler BT on max charge of 4350 ( .243 win ). Usually blows inside unless neck shot.
    50 to 350 yards.

Alas, not set up to reload after move.
Need to build a bench in garage ( full of kid stuff ). No space.

My rifle before stock swap did well enough w WW factory 80gr

Rig... Don't laugh at my tripod setup. Its a heavy duty 70's vintage Japanese piece of kit... View attachment 141016
I had basically the same set up and never used it. Had the special mount for a camera tripod on what was intended to be my varmint rifle, but it didn't pan out, so I sold the rifle. I think my tripod was made for one of those big VCR tape cameras. :):

I'm guessing you guys live out in the country on some land? I wish I could shoot a lot of stuff that cruises through my backyard...in the city! :(

Will these dayum things chew their way into a structure? I've got something that chewed a 10" hole thru the floor of my mini barn. I covered hole and what ever it is is still trying to gain entry.

The property is not lived in ( deer camp) so catching/killing said critter is impossible.

Anyone know a way to keep this from happening?

Where can a guy buy traps around Hamilton county?

Add a suppressor to one of your 22s and your neighbors will never know...
And yes, we moved from a subdivision to a small farm outside the city about 3 years ago.
