If the backup QB is playing, we have bigger problems. I haven't looked at contract numbers, but I suspect that Minshew will basically be a cheaper version of Nick Foles - which, IMHO, is fine.

I hope not. He is last his prime and missing games injured all the time. There is a reason he insists on a fully guaranteed contract and a reason the teams do not want to give it to him.

Jackson is an idiot* to represent himself. In the modern NFL a franchise QB contract is reconfigured, sometimes every year to finagle the cap numbers, can you imagine setting your team up to negotiate with an idiot* and him mom all the time?

The football media either does not understand the life of running QB’s or do not want to admit it, so they cover this like the guy has 14 more years left to play like a Manning or Brady…

*idiot: the fool that thinks he is as smart as a professional agent, while already leaving $41 million on the table…
