The guy was bad news, batsh*t crazy and prohibited from owning firearms.

I always carry concealed in theatres. Note to self: Bring an extra magazine next time.

That's what I'm thinking. I don't typically carry an extra mag, but I think I'm going to start.

I carry 2. Hope never to need them.

13 .45 shell casings. If he was running a single stack he had to pause/reload. No one close enough to snatch his butt up............have we became a nation of cowards and :sheep:

    Sorry, I had to ask.

So, in reality, the guy was yet another nutcase. "I hate liberals" will be latched onto as proof that he was a right-winger. But "I love Hitler" (a socialist) will be ignored.

As is normally the case, the kinds of people who will do such things are simply psychotic. They are not acting out on political ideologies. They're acting out on their craziness.

Also: all the "common sense" gun laws, and this psycho was still able to acquire a firearm. Gun control really works!

A very bad day for cities named Lafayette. In Louisiana, 3 dead from a gun. In Indiana, 5 dead from a truck.

Anybody hear anything about "truck control"?

I saw a press conference a bit ago where the cop said he blended into the crowd heading out of the theater. When he saw the cops coming, he reloaded and went back into the theatre, and shot the final shot into himself.

It sounds like he planned to get away. They found wigs and stuff to disguise himself in his motel room, and the tags on his car was switched.

We are looking at this all wrong. I just saw the trailer for "Trainwreck" and it was nothing that I had expected.
It didn't even look remotely good and I did have an urge to pull my gun.

Maybe this movie has some [STRIKE]sembliminal[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]simblinminel[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]seminimilalal[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]sembliminall[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]simblimninol[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]seminimnilol[/STRIKE] :xmad: :xmad: :xmad: :xmad: :xmad: :xmad:embedded messages in it.

We had one near my hometown. It was closed and is now an "urban warfare training center" for the military. I wonder where the hundreds of patients housed there were sent?
Many were put into private residences in normal neighborhoods. When Muskatatuk shut down we had several move into a group home just down the street from us. Never had any problems and they were always really friendly. From what I could tell the seemed more of the developmentally challenged type that were adults with the brain of a 6 year old. Smart enough to function and take basic care of themselves but not enough to live independently in an adult world.

This is exactly what happened to some loonies in CA in the 80s.
My friend lived next door to a group home. They would wander around the backyard and my friend would throw slices of bologna and other abstract food products over the fence to them. They would see it and just look up to the sky. I don't know why my friend started this ritual but they did it for years and I'm sure the loons just thought it all fell out of the sky.

Did any of these special individuals start killing people because of this? :dunno:

Did anybody in their right mind think they were ready to be out in public? Nope.

BTW - If anyone here experienced bologna falling in their back yard, it wasn't me.

I remember the Central state locations. They were full to the brim. I also remember the day they closed them.
