Best bourbon under $50?

I had to work this morning, but when I got home I made a small Thanksgiving dinner for my wife and I. Now I’m watching the Cowboys lose and drinking Little Book. It definitely could be worse than this!

My 2021 luck continues! At a small event in Mooresville and 3rd ticket pulled was me. The 2 in front of me chose the only 2 Weller FullProofs and dont ask me why because this was the top dog on the table for sure!

Went to a black Friday sale at one of my local favorite stores and had a pretty good haul also got a Calumet 15 and Russell's single barrel store pick
Missed out on a Russell's 13, Weller full proof, and they had 2 bottles of WLW. They were gone before I made it to the front of the line.

1792 Full proof is delish. The EC Toasted taste just like EC 18 year in my opinion. I really cannot tell any difference side by side except its 100 dollars cheaper.

They had a few bottles of ec18 but for the price the toasted barrel and 1792 full proof are very hard to beat

Ever since they bumped up EC18 like 75 bucks its kinda meh with the Barrel proofs and Toasted Barrel. Dont get me wrong still good and I still have a couple unopened but not at near 200 bucks.

As I am already 3 deep in some EHT small batch I felt the need need to open this 12 year KC Cask Strength.(Been sick the last 10 days or so lost time to make up....) Wow talk about BTAC like style for sure without the price tag. Lots of Vanilla, Carmel, Maple syrup, and Cherry on the nose. Same on the palate with Oak and Cherry amazing hug on the end. KC wins me over again.

I’ve been looking for a bottle of Barrell Seagrass and finally found one today. Very bright flavors, and high proof. It’s just good as I hoped it would be!

I went to a blind tasting party for wheated bourbons ( Pappy, Weller, Maker's Mark, etc). I was surprised how many people ranked MM up close to the obvious winner PVW. For an under $50 bourbon, it's really tasty unless you like the spice of rye in the mix.

MM has really branched out recently too. For a while they made MM and that was it. I think I have their cask strength, 101, 46, and 46 cask strength.

On the way to lunch made an impulse stop at the local corner store. Eagle Rare Single Barrel, came “handcuffed” (learned another new word) so I selected the Elijah Craig.

I had been saving the Eagle Rare Select Single Barrel for a special occasion... which came over Thanksgiving when my daughter and her fiance made it home for the first time since they got engaged.

Let's just say it was well-enjoyed, perhaps overly so

I found it at Total Wine in Nora. You're right - HIGH proof, but a great mixer.
