Apparently you arent familiar with the term "autre temps autre moeurs".

They also practiced bloodletting and used leeches for everyday medicine.

We held up our left hands to show our wedding rings and I said "This is my wife. While I'm sure she is flattered that you think she isnt 18, you actually think I married a woman technically young enough to be my daughter?"

She shrugged and said "Sorry, company policy."

"OK, I guess we will go spend our money elsewhere. Have a good day."
