Also, @BugI02 and @indymike and @manifest destiny wasn't "Drain the Swamp" number 10 of his 10 point list of things to accomplish in his FIRST 100 DAYS? Not the last week and a half...
You (and I think everyone) knew that was not a realistic goal. Hype? Yeah, probably. But how much would anyone else get done in 100 days while being attacked from all sides (MSM, Dems and their "Russian collusion" crap, etc.)?

10 priorities in the first 100 days... yes it's realistic.

To actually drain the swamp in 100 days, no... but at least start setting the dynamite... it should not have taken 2 weeks short of his first term to figure out how to start.

Next, I will work with Congress to introduce the following broader legislative measures and fight for their passage within the first 100 days of my Administration:

    1-9...

    10. Clean up Corruption in Washington Act. Enacts new ethics reforms to Drain the Swamp and reduce the corrupting influence of special interests on our politics.

On November 8th, Americans will be voting for this 100-day plan to restore prosperity to our economy, security to our communities, and honesty to our government.

This is my pledge to you.

And actually my definition of draining the swamp has changed since the 2016 election. That is what makes @SheepDog4Life posts so silly.

Prior to 2016 we did not know the extent of the corruption we know now, in the FBI, DOJ, and CIA. Most of us were defining the swamp as congressional corruption, and unchecked bureaucrats at EPA, IRS, BLM, and FDA.

So NOBODY was campaigning on what I now call draining the swamp back then. It was Trump that flushed this all out into the open, after it came out he then tried to combat it. Some here need to go back to the Trump election and early presidency threads and brush up on the hot topics back then.

Trump only mentioned it after the crowd in a rally leading up to the 2016 election started chanting it. So I suspect that he latched onto it as a crowd pleaser.
It was a catchy catchphrase. Like getting Mexico to pay for the wall.

Trump that flushed this all out into the open
Devin Nunes deserves a lot of credit, too. He put his *** on the line to do what was right

Meanwhile, representative DeSantis, who had already declared his candidacy for governor, was pandering to Puerto Ricans with a statehood bill

“I’m going to fight back,” he declared, taking aim at Trump’s recent criticism of his leadership during the pandemic. “H***, his whole family moved to Florida under my governorship. Are you kidding me?”

Did he "flushed this all out into the open", or did he manufacture it all as part of campaign and pandering to voters?

Why do Trumpers forget that Trump campaigned on draining the swamp during the 20-6 election season?

But they won’t watch it. It’s a video. Well. Maybe they’ll watch it. Maybe climax once or twice. It’s vintage Trump.

And to Trump’s credit, he did have some accomplishments in that direction early on. Not exactly draining anything. More like hindering movement within the swamp. Nothing lasting. They’re subject to change by another pen and phone.

But to claim that Trump did not campaign on it, or that everyone understood “drain the swamp” to mean congress, is utterly ridiculous. It’s denial of actual history. Why?

I’m sure they’ll watch it for the potential trumpergasm. I mean especially the 2nd video. I’m sure it was posted on INGO back in the day. With “WINNING!” Commented all over it. How can a bonafide Trumper not at keast watch for the nostalgia? I think it’s only the deafening dissonance that prevents them from watching videos that don’t praise Trump.
