The staff decided to leave this thread open for awhile mostly to remind everyone about the no-brace rule thing in the ads. After this there should be no more questions. Until (and hopefully it’s soon) the courts overturn this stupid decision by the ATF, do not post pistols for sale with braces. They will be deleted as they are found.

Well, too bad this my alarm was going off at 0510 or I'd have stayed up for this.

Not sure the deal here. I anyone has any issues with how I moderate, please let me know.

@d.kaufman thank you for TCB while I was heading for bed.

@GodFearinGunTotin thanks for your point on the brace ban/where INGO ( @texkev and the staff) is/are on the subject. I've been clear that this is some illegal **** but we can't risk INGO over the classifieds.

Also, I am from the "what's said on PM, stays on PM" school. But since we're here: what happened between 2216 and 2238? That was the reaction I got from my last PM. I thought the point had been made.

For those of you familiar with Classic DISC, I am an ID. You probably picked that up from my PMs in the OP.

Again, I keep private messages private. I'll post in-thread if I want everyone to see.

But once again the problem is that the people that actually need to see it, never read anything out of the classifieds.

Out of curiosity I wanted to check your post history - wasn't there some thread about "bump" that came up this week?

And I wanted to check out the item in question - seriously MS Paint to cover up that it's a SBR?

    :n00b:

And "Definitely no brace included Due to sites rules." That's a nod and wink if I ever saw one.

KellyInAvon gave you the right level of courtesy on this one.
Is that analogous to the people who sell the "empty box" that once contained (now illegal) lawn darts? (And, wink-wink, nudge-nudge: upon arrival, that "empty box" might not actually be empty...)

Your lack of knowledge of firearms is showing. Ms paint to cover up a brace thats no longer there. Plus a brace doesn't make an SBR until may 31st deadline.
Im sorry what about bump? Pretty sure that was awhile ago and not relevant to this issue
If you want to be a welcomed, contributing member here, please consider: none of what you say here matters, at all. Not our sandbox, not our rules. The site owner and staff have established, and properly enforce, the rules. On matters that even approach a blurred line of illegality, the owner and staff have made it clear that they will ensure that the site stays clearly on the side of legality. None of us has to like it or agree with it. But to stay here, we do have to abide by it.

(For the record: I agree with and appreciate the owner's/staff's stance here. I couldn't care less about the classifieds, and would not want them even to give the appearance or hint of any activity that might jeopardize the forums and the community we have built here.)

I didn't bother to look at your listing. I suspect that merely using MS Paint to cover up the brace, instead of removing the brace and taking a new picture, might have been perceived as passive-aggressive, too cute by half, and an implied workaround to stated site rules and enforcement policy. Intent can be very difficult to communicate effectively online.
