Try Makers Mark 46 since you like the above…Anyone have thoughts or tasting notes on Heaven's Door?
FWIW, my own tastes (for drinking neat) lean towards the wheated bourbons with favorites being Weller, Basil Haydens, Eagle Rare and I've had a glass of Blanton's which I really liked and would like a bottle, but only if I can find it at retail. My value bottles are Larceny and Elijah Craig.
My cabinets are currently filled with fine and rare bourbons. And no, I don't share.Do we get to choose a bottle outta your stash? lol
I never buy the rare expensive stuff except to share, but only with those that appreciate them, like you guys. If just me alone I would just listen to old school country drinking Beam…And no, I don't share
I've been wondering about that one... I'll pick one up as soon as there's an empty coming out of the cabinet.Try Makers Mark 46 since you like the above…
Well I'm a mooch that appreciates a fine bourbon and old school C&W, let me know if I can ever help ya out. It's eating me up inside just to think of ya having to drink a quality swig by yourself, lol.I never buy the rare expensive stuff except to share, but only with those that appreciate them, like you guys. Love me some birthday.
I open the new bottle every year on my birthday. Usually pick it up in mid-September. Save it for my birthday.Love me some birthday.
Old Forester 1910 and 1920 are both very good. The 1920 being a fair amount taller in proof but a hair over the $50 mark. Found them both at Sam's in Columbus yesterday.I open the new bottle every year on my birthday. Usually pick it up in mid-September. Save it for my birthday.
We took a trip to Brown county with another couple, did some winery wine tasting, and us guys did the distillery tour and tasting. From the tasting, I really liked the Sweet Mash Rye... and I'm not a rye-guy, lol!I realized I forgot to buy myself a Christmas present. I decided I’d really like a bottle of Hard Truth’s new Sweet Mash Rye. I couldn’t resist the excitement and just gave it to myself early. First batch, and it’s amazing. I think I like it better than the Barrell Seagrass. It’s a potent 115 proof, but the heat dissipates quickly. I get a lot of sweet apple dessert notes from it. One reviewer said apple pie or apple strudel, and I’d say that’s spot on.
Sipping on ECBP currently.November was good to me on the bourbon hunt. Not many under 50 but the eagle rare. View attachment 240154
Yeah that's one of my favorites, what batch are you working on. I'm hoping the Russell's 13 is as good as I've heard. Should be opening it with some family and friends near Christmas.Sipping on ECBP currently.
Tonight was the C. In NWI batch B has been prevent for months. I think I prefer the C922 batch.Yeah that's one of my favorites, what batch are you working on. I'm hoping the Russell's 13 is as good as I've heard. Should be opening it with some family and friends near Christmas.
I think this year's c batch is 1 of the best since 2019. I have a122 and my brother has b522 and honestly they were a bit of a let down for ecbp.Tonight was the C. In NWI batch B has been prevent for months. I think I prefer the C922 batch.
Russell's 13 is downstairs in the bar. Going to finish off Rare Breed tomorrow.
