Let me try this again... homemade birria and dragons milk.. first time trying the brand. View attachment 241157
Hmmm... Is that just a repackaged/rebranded Beer Barrel Bourbon, or a different product?

From their website, it looks like a new product to me.

The BBB you pictured is a decent drinker with a distinct beer finish. Not my favorite, but I am not a big beer drinker.

It looks like the Origin offering is a straight bourbon, and possibly the source of the barrels used to finish New Holland’s Dragons Milk beer.

I thought the BBB was finished in their dragon's milk barrels too. Hence, the dragon logo. Thought that was kinda their thing.

I also don't hate the BBB, but it gives me a headache, just like their beer does.

I enjoyed it, but only after I threw a couple ice balls in there. Neat, it was... ... it tasted like a hangover in the making.

Right. The Dragon’s Milk Beer is finished in bourbon barrels, and then the Beer Barrel Bourbon is finished in the Barrels used to make Dragons Milk Beer.

Looks like they decided they may as well make the new Bourbon themselves and keep it all in house.

I personally like the bourbon finish to the beer, but prefer my bourbon beer finish free.

I look forward to trying their bourbon. Small batch, Pot Still bourbon from people who seem to enjoy bourbon seems like a likely win to me.

The thing I didn't like about Oak & Eden was the flavor keeps changing. Maybe get it where you like it and take out the darn stick?
The French Oak was the best of the one's I've tried though.

Heard that today is Kroger's buy 6 bottles get 30% off special.

Our Kroger's up north suck for whiskey/bourbon, but I know the one near my daughter in Bloomington has a crazy good selection.

Might have to send her on a shopping trip.

Family Christmas gathering this weekend, and I'm definitely bringing the favorites for folks to try.

But trying to decide which new bottle to bring... leaning towards either the Rare Breed or the Michters, I've never had either... Angel's Envy was good when I had a ways back.... decisions???

I have an idea. If you keep empty bottles of your favs. Get a bottle of old crow and put it in the old bottle. Save money & see what everyone says or if the notice.
Dude!........................no, big-time foul that only a true dirt bag would try and pull.
Now sit and think about what you just suggested while I rummage through the trash for my empty bottles.

Lucky year to find some Blantons.

Meijer has some exceptional brands right now. The Cumberland Meijer certainly has impressed me and at cheaper costs vs the Liquor Store.
I entered in a few drawings for
VanWinkle SR 2022, EagleRare Single, another Blantons over at the South Broadripple beer and wine store hope I win!!!!!!!
