2011s are the new hotness. Any manufacturer worth their salt should be trying to tap the market. Nearly everyone loves a 1911, but who doesn’t want a doublestack 9mm 1911? Just wait until Taurus releases one for $999, all the fanbois will lose their schtuff. Free market baby!

I didn’t know Bul offered one as well. Will have to do some looking into them. I know their slide to frame fit on the Magnum Research 1911’s would leave most manufacturers envious and every one I’ve picked up has been tight fit and smooth. Wait and see :))

While competition is welcome SA is not know for top quality, I hope they put out a quality DS 1911 but unfortunately I can't recall any of their products that I could say affordable and outstanding quality.

Well, I think quite a number of people are happy with some of SA's 1911 offerings. Time will tell though into their 2011 foray. Hopefully they will have gotten it right.

Looks to me like Springfield Armory in typical neve had an original idea ever fashion has decided to rip off the Staccato P for about $1000 less of the MSRP's that have been leaked are correct. No word on what magazines it will take however.

If Springfield ****s the bed with this I am going to be mad, I have been seriously enjoying the come back of the 2011 thanks to Staccato (since all the guns work now) hopefully Springfield can make a reliable gun. Plus now people complaining about how expensive a Staccato is can just get one of these and hope it's just as good.

They could not even come up with original slide serrations :lmfao:
What is the difference between a 2011 and a double stack 1911?

A 2011 has a totally separate grip module from frame, where the double stacks just made a 1911 fatter to accommodate the double stack magazine.

This results in the 2011 being a thinner overall pistol at the cost of being more expensive overall to manufacture.
