And the rest of us will turn into lawbreaking gang members and do carjackings and drive by shootings just because we're so excited. But now gang members will get guns!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing changed with that. And also the 18 and younger nonsense in that article isn't true. 18 year olds are allowed. So read this article and it implies that private businesses will have the weight of law to not allow carry. Is it just what we had before (they can ask you to leave and charge trespassing if you don’t) or is it like IL now, where if you enter you are breaking the law? https://www.yahoo.com/news/anyone-carry-handgun-without-permit-135713661.html
Finally!
Might want to pack your galoshes just in case.About to go take a walk. I will keep my eyes peeled for sanguine flash flooding.
I feel dumber having read this. My comments are in blue.So read this article and it implies that private businesses will have the weight of law to not allow carry. With the exception of the PO/RO, nothing else will show up when an officer run's their information through IDACS and the stop cannot be extended solely to verify this, this is a significant obstacle for LE. Hopefully there is a reasonable answer for this but I doubt it. There will be quite a few prohibited persons who slip through our fingers unfortunately. Not everyone can carry a handgun
This change in the law also doesn't apply to everyone.
Anyone designated a "prohibited person" cannot carry a handgun, with or without a permit. This includes: people convicted of a crime who spent more than a year in jail; people convicted of domestic violence, battery or stalking; anyone with a restraining order against them; people with documented mental health disorders; and anyone ever committed to a mental institution or dishonorably discharged from military service.
Can't POSSESS a firearm if you are a PROHIBITED POSSESSOR. Documented mental health disorders? Hey Laura: you spelled "adjudicated mentally deficient" wrong. You have OCD and now you lose your gun rights? WRONG!
Yeah, good luck figuring that out. Ain't gonna happen. Also per 18 USC 922: ILLEGAL ALIENS are prohibited possessors of firearms.
Maybe she is a vintage pornhub watcher! When I took my parents to AT&T to solve my mom's phone not working, a young saleslady said she remembered me from last month when I got a new phone.
Of course, in the car, my mom seemed impressed that a young girl remembered me.
I told her, it probably was the gun on the hip, and not the 70s mustache that she remembered.
Does it matter? Even if they didn't, Mears wouldn't prosecute them. There will be quite a few prohibited persons who slip through our fingers unfortunately.
Wait, are the prohibited persons slipping through the good guys or the bad guys?Does it matter? Even if they didn't, Mears wouldn't prosecute them.
One of the most well-written and succinct booklets published by a state legislator I've read. The Indiana Attorney General has a pretty good handbook on the matter, with the assistance of some Guy: https://protect2.fireeye.com/v1/url?k=31323334-50bba2bf-31367a34-4544474f5631-04aed081936dc844&q=1&e=09bc1b1d-4389-4c25-baf7-c04a25d2acac&u=https://content.govdelivery.com/attachments/INAG/2022/06/28/file_attachments/2195993/Gun-Owners-Bill-of-Rights.pdf
That is a HIM problem, not a ME problem. Police work still continues regardless of what he decides to prosecute. All we need is PC.Does it matter? Even if they didn't, Mears wouldn't prosecute them.
