Just like with with the gay marriage issue 15 years ago, or any law left or right really, I can only recommend anyone disagreeing with Holcomb's veto to have a conversation with someone who would be negatively affected by the law to have more data to more fully shape your opinion.
Why do you think that these children should have their desires trump the desires of the girls they would compete against? This isn't about allowing trans girls. This is simply about allowing young girls to compete in sports in school without having to compete against those with an unfair advantage.

Question: if a girl becomes a trans-guy and hops up on testosterone and becomes a beast, who should she compete against? :dunno:

just put these drugs on a banned list for athletes. Problem solved.

So are we supposed to do blood testing to determine what is patently obvious?

Can you describe the difference between a puddle and a lake without any verbiage relating to scale? Further, can you differentiate the 2 with your eyes?

I finally found the video. I may have been mistaken about gender reassignment surgery. It's not clear the way they word it. Still don't agree with it, and I get the impression that her parents (at least her father) may have influenced her behavior.

I get a chuckle watching a mentally ill male talk about the mental health of his mentally ill son being more important than girls earning rewards through their hard work.

I you have dangly bits, or had dangly bits in the past, you can't compete against those who don't have and have never had dangly bits. Is that sufficient? ;)

Indiana GOP Governor Vetoes Bill Protecting Women’s Sports
Somehow, Indiana’s Republican governors are building a tradition of withering and shrinking rather than taking bold stands for common sense and normal Americans who vote for the GOP.
The Lia Thomas experience doesn’t prove that there is a problem nationally that must be solved at the state level? Is the Indiana governor’s mansion located under a rock?

Holcomb’s position is that Indiana High School Athletic Association rules ensure there’s no problem to be solved by this legislation. But IHSAA rules allow transgender athletes to compete across lines of sex if they specify they have been living as their preferred gender for over a year.

So a male born a male who goes through puberty as a male and thus has natural advantages in upper-body strength, endurance, quickness, and lung capacity simply needs to pretend to be female for a year and can then compete against women in their division? And Eric Holcomb thinks this is fine?

    Indiana’s voters probably don’t think it’s fine.
He ought to answer a very simple question: was the Lia Thomas spectacle acceptable in America? Yes or no? If no, then sign the damn bill.

And if yes, he should be thanked for his honesty, and then Indiana’s voters should set about organizing a recall.

This reminds me of back in the day when it was common for Eastern Block/Soviet Union biological women to be disqualified from the Olympics because hormonally they were no longer women.

Yet today, they'll allow a man to claim he's a "woman" and compete against women.
This world is losing it's mind more every day!

This world just continues to get sicker and sicker. Those like this RINO continue to show their true colors.
And this is where we need to be involved in the Republican Primary to choose a non-RINO candidate.
DON'T wait til election day to vote, vote in the Republican Primary too, or we'll likely be stuck with another RINO.

    Also, don't kid yourself.
The Republican and Democrat candidates are the only ones who have a real life chance of winning.

On the flip side, the Democrats are now so hard left, even their best candidate will make a RINO look like a hard right winger. :)

SO any idea to "show 'em" by voting Democrat will just get us DEEPER buried in the hard left quagmire.

    So, a couple things:

    - I would never knowingly discriminate against a transgender person, under most circumstances.

    - There is nothing I can do to affect transgenders' propensity towards 'suicidality'. That's a mental state that was not caused by me.

    - From what I read, young adult transgenders (18-24) make up .7 of one percent of that population. I don't believe it's that high, but it's what I read. Assuming that percentage holds true for athletes in that population, why do you think the 99.3% of biologic females should be swept away by biologic male transgenders? Why cater to the .7 percent dysphoriatics to the detriment of the 99.3%? It doesn't pass the smell test.

    - As to laws that preemptively ban biologic males from dominating female sports, it matters not that there have not been problems in any particular district. It's preemptive to avoid the problem.

    - The Lia Thomas circus is a travesty against the female swimmers. Should have never got this far, and wouldn't have if any of the decision makers had a lick of sense.

Can a declared straight male request and be allowed to participate in females sports programs? If denied, should he file for being discriminated against?

I know you're right, but they never consider the feelings of the real females after they lose to the dude with a penis. As to your question above, the NCAA has some sort of protocol about hormone treatments for certain periods of time and I believe testing hormone levels prior to competing, etc ...

But on the legal side we are dealing with chromosomes. You must treat 2 individuals with the same chromosomes the same. Would it not be discriminator?

Oh, the transvestites have a term for those women who would feel bad about that. They call them a "TERF."

    "Trans exclusionary radical feminist"

In other words, it's the "white supremacist" slogan of trannies.
