Out of curiosity, at the Ask the Governor link, which topic does everyone select?
I was doing House of Rep's since that's where the bill started, but switched to "Governor, Office of the" since it's about his signature. "Sign the bill, you ******* ****" wasn't on the list.

Keep it up INGO!! Hoping for the Friday afternoon document dump where he signs the bill!!

MONTGOMERY – Governor Kay Ivey on March 10th signed House Bill 272, known as the constitutional carry bill, into law, defending law abiding Alabamians’ Second Amendment rights.

“Unlike states who are doing everything in their power to make it harder for law abiding citizens, Alabama is reaffirming our commitment to defending our Second Amendment rights,” said Governor Ivey. “I have always stood up for the rights of law abiding gunowners, and I am proud to do that again today.”
In April 2019 at the NRA Annual Meeting of Members you said, “Removing any and all barriers for lawful carry in our state is significant for the many Hoosier gun owners who want to protect themselves and others.”
In 2019 you sounded a lot like Governor Ivey did last week.

    Sign HEA 1296 into law.

I called 317-232-4567, pressed option #2 AND GOT A HUMAN!! In a polite, professional, and calm manner convey the message SIGN THE BILL!!!

I just called and got a human.
She told me they are recording all response/requests regarding HEA1296.

She also asked if I actually lived in Indiana.
I told her " Yes, I live in Lafayette. I am not just a constituent, but I am a voting constituent, and I requested that he sign, and NOT veto this bill".

"Thank you. Your response has been recorded".

    Where's the bacon?
Sent to me in confidence I would not reveal the identity of the author. Feel free to TELL Eric...

    Dear Gov. Holcomb,
You have had on your desk HEA 1296, Firearms Matters, for over 24 hours. This bill is one of which you were aware very early in the legislative session, as evidenced by your efforts to kill it before it reached your desk.
The language was thoroughly vetted in committee, despite the committee chair's obviously vehement objection to its passage. The bill passed the committees in which it was heard, and finally came to the floors of the chambers, where it passed handily.
The decision now rests with you: Do you want to sign it and make it law on July 1, 2022, or do you want to end your political career, because there aren't many Republicans who will vote for you if you don't sign it into law. I suppose you might find yourself welcome amongst the Democrats. I feel certain that the next meeting of the General Assembly will pass it into law over your veto, should you choose the latter, so a pyrrhic victory at best.
Choose wisely, and thank you for doing so.
I could not have said this better myself. Whoever the author is.... Be proud of this.

And Holcomb should listen, because he or she is not wrong in what they told him.

    Blessings,
    Bill

Could be. I wonder if he’s working the phones figuring out if there will be enough will to work up an override. Maybe he’s trying to figure out if his ISP supt. will still be his BFF if he signs it. :)
I'd be interested in knowing the numbers of how many have called on both sides of this. The Left will support anyone with a badge against it, so I wonder if they're depending on that?

Done! I said "Good morning I would like to make a request in regards to HEA1296 CC bill, and that I request Holcomb Sign and not veto HEA1296 and that I'm a voting constituent in Valparaiso, that's all and have a good day". She said she will pass it on lol. Kind of nerve racking, that's only the second time I've called an IN govt office to express my request, first time was about the 2020 election to the AGs office.
