So, the Mrs and I are going to Chicago at the end of the month for a quick birthday getaway for her. (Don't try and talk me out of it...it's happening.) The problem is their new "fully vaccinated" mandate that went in to affect on Jan 3, 2022. I have had zero Covid shots, and plan to keep it that way. We won't even be able to get dinner the way I'm reading things.

I recently tested positive for the Rona and wonder if I could show that and say I had to wait to get vaxxed? Thoughts? Suggestions?

When we went to Washington to visit the hubby's brother before he passed, there wasn't a single restaurant in Port Angeles that allowed dining in without a vaccination card. We ordered carry outs and went back to our hotel and ate. We drove all the way across the country and had zero requests for us to wear a mask or show a vax card until we got there. I would imagine you could order carry out or delivery to your hotel, but you may want to make sure the hotel doesn't have some sort of requirements in place.

I'm sure it's just my imagination, but when we were there a few years ago, it seemed like every person over the age of 50 between Sequim and Port Angeles was a retiree from the University of Washington campus system.

They're like Hawaiians, just less asian ;)

Glad you were able to visit in time, family can take you places that one would usually avoid.

Louisville, Lexington, St Louis. No vax card needed and constitutional carry...

Skip the cesspool known as Chicago...

Malone's on the east side of Louisville has great food and beverages...

The Hill in St. Louis is packed with excellent family owned / operated Italian restaurants.
