A broader historical, and less religiously biased perspective, yes. Science? This **** is all about perception. Ain’t got nothing to do with science.
Tell me you not a fan of Hip-Hop, without telling me you’re not a fan of Hip-Hop. Lol
“Dropping Science,” is a figure of speech.

You`re free to pity the terrorists who live in the Gaza Strip. Go for it. I won`t. I`ll side with Gods` people.

Again, you’re missing my point. I’m just saying the Palestinians got screwed. There are many reasons for it, mainly tribal cultures without a national identity...and being naive to European politics and trusting the British when they said fight the Turks and we will give you independence...while Jews moved in and slowly took over.

I have zero pity for terrorists...but I understand why they do it. If a bunch of Chinese bought up large patches of Indiana and then took over as they tossed me off my land and treated me as a second class citizen, I’d probably be a terrorist too.

Most of what is happening (between Israel and Palestine) stems from what happened from the start of WWI up until Israel declared their independence and took what was left.

And you’ve just described the real basis of the whole argument. Anything critical of Israel is “pitying terrorists”. And a particular interpretation of the bible requires everyone to faithfully support everything Israel does without question.
You mean like pay people the going rate for their property and force them out like the Feds State and local government does.

Does this give those Americans a right to go and try and murder thousands of people? The way I read some of you if you get kicked out of your home or property by the Federal, state, or local government that gives you a right to kill innocent people by whatever means necessary. Luckily you all don't have 15,000 rockets to launch at innocent Americans.

I guess I told you I’m not a fan of hip hop without saying it then.

But now that I didn’t say it. I’m saying it. I like jazz, fusion, blues, classic rock, R&B, classical, latin, maybe folk when done well. Two genres of music I don’t like are twangy ass Country, and of course Hip Hop.

I’m saying that your religious belief about Israel drives your opinion about the two sides in the conflict. It really doesn’t matter what any of the facts are, Israel is “right” because the Bible says they’re God’s chosen people. As long as that’s your interpretation, that’s going to be your perspective.

    700 club? That’s so 2000’s.

Haha! I’m glad someone got my reference! +1 cool point for you.

Just to be clear, I have no dog in the fight and I can see both sides. I mean no disrespect to anyone but in my humble opinion, I’m a history nut and probably know more than most people when it comes to why things are the way they are in Israel. I can see both sides....

...In a nutshell...the Jews screwed up and rebelled against Rome...Rome got tired of their BS and crushed them. Fast forward 1800 years, Jews, while having a common identity, rose to a position in Europe and Russia where they could return to their promised land. Problem was it was full of Palestinians but that didn’t stop them.

As for Iran, they were our ally when Israel was formed. It wasn’t until 79 when that country went to crap. I don’t agree how Slow Joe is trying to make deals with them...anyone who tries is a fool. Iran will say one thing and do another. Best way to deal with them is with the barrel of a gun, isolate them and their economy until the pressure is too great in order to bend their will. I think Trump should’ve been harder on them when he had the chance.
Wasn't Jimmy Carter such a diplomatic genius? After all, he was single-handedly responsible for demanding the Shah stand down for "peaceful protests" a/k/a riots that morphed into a full-blown revolution which brought us the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism.

Jimmy Carter ****ed a lot of things up. But the Israel/Palestinian conflict was way before Carter could get his mitts into it.

Still doesn't give them a right to drop 15k rockets on civilians. EOD says he will become a terrorist If they use eminent domain on him, and he thinks the Palestinians using terrorism and thousands of rockets fired at innocent people is okay. He has approved of this type of terrorism. Do you?

One thing you’re missing is the Palestinian territory was always administered by another empire for 2,000 years. It’s not like it was their government tossed them aside. It was territory governed by Romans, Byzantines, Ottomans, British...then all off a sudden these Jewish guys who lived there 2,000 years ago showed up and took over. Palestinians were like, “WTF??” and it’s been a fight ever since.

I was talking about the 1979 Iranian revolution. Had dumbass let the Shah take care of his own problems in a way that worked, we wouldn't have the Iranian Theocracy but rather the same ally we had prior to it.

Jews have always lived there where do you get they all just show up. More like the ones that showed up were not welcome in Europe so they decided to go back for some. Yet some still lived there for the entire time.

I didn’t hear him say he approved of it. I heard him say he understood it.

    1) I don’t think the Palestinians are in the right to shoot rockets at Israel, and it’s really Iran behind this anyway, with the Palestinians as a willing delivery system.

    2) Israel is not innocent in the whole conflict. They’ve done things to earn the hatred of Palestinians.

Two things can be true at the same time.

Agreed! Some areas of the world need to have a strong (sometimes brutal) ruler to keep a lid on things because some people just can’t seem to get along. The Balkans and Middle East are prime examples.

A common misperception is that the Jews were forced into the diaspora by the Romans. Jews have always lived around what is now modern Israel. Not all left or were forced out.

That’s only a point relevant to people who interpret the Bible the way you do. That’s not something based on testable facts. Again, this illustrates that your arguments are religiously derived and it factually derived. And I’m not saying anything negative about that per se. It just doesn’t make a fruitful argument against arguments derived from historical testable facts.

This is testable too. What was the population of Jews in the region in each decade from, say, 1900 to 2000. What events drove the population changes?

Yes, Jews have lived there since the beginning of Judea. After Rome did what Rome does to rebellions, the Jewish population was next to nothing...like 1-2% for a long time...referenced below. They scattered for 1800 years, were persecuted for being different everywhere they went and within one lifetime, poured back into Palestine and took over. Just because a few percent of native Americans live in Indiana, is it cool for all the native Americans to move to Indiana, buy up some land and take the rest by force?
